Play Store and Android apps headed to Chrome, Google announces

19 May, 2016
It's not like we didn't already know it, but Google has now officially confirmed that Android apps will be available on Chrome through the Play Store. The confirmation came in the form of a session description on the website of the company's I/O 2016 conference.

So it is not coming to Chrome, but actually only to Chromebooks.. Poor... Windows won't die... just because they are still better.. but it might be wake-up call to reduce the prices of products.. especially Office.

People are saying RIP to Windows
But in reality I see no way that Chrome Books will alter Windows
Windows will still be preffered for companies, cooperations and PC gaming.
Android and Chrome Books are inferior to Windows.

It would be better if you actually said "chromebook" rather than "chrome" in the article title! Cause windows has chrome BROWSER too, ya know!

People will migrate to more secure os like osx and linux. Then will forget windows forever.

Having a Chromebook for about 1 jear just as home user was something frustrating: no Skype support, bad Hangout video performance, bad Chrome performance when heavy website are opened, no support for printers that are not cloud really but just WiFi compatible.
This compatibility should solve some problems but not the performance issues. 2 gb of RAM are barely enough for a Chromebook with normal usage.
I'm using an Acer Chromebook 13 with Tegra chipset (I wanted it fanless).
