Nubia exec teases Z11 Max with 83.27% screen-to-body ratio

20 May, 2016
A new render shows the upcoming device's impossibly thin bezels, which helped achieve that number.

Anonymous, 21 May 2016The screen here is 6", so even with 83% screen to body rati... more83% is extreme. Even at 6 inches the bezels would be smaller than any phone ever ... It's debatable what we can call tiny, I just don't have faith in ZTE to make such small bezels...

Lets make some things clear, here is the thing phone use being changed and people not use them just to make phone calls instead they use them for media entertaining, gaming, reading e-books ...etc so that means screen must be bigger than the old phone have had because of development and new features It is a natural consequence to get something bigger and to be handled more easily and comfortably, that's all hope you get it.

Anonymous, 21 May 2016So many people thinking 6" is too big. Is it really too big... moreIt's a personal preference. I use a 5.7" phone now, but I think 5.5" with the same bezel size would be perfect for me.

All these OEMs seem to be doing a lot better than the majors producers, giving so much ram, lets see if it translates to better performance...

The best in the market for now is Sharp Aquos Crystal with 78.5% screen to body ratio. If this Nubia new smartphone is real it will be almost bezel free even on top and bottom. One day some company out there will release a smartphone with 100% screen to body ratio just for fun. I know Sharp is doing it for fun. Not even a popular phone anyway since it only available in Japan.

There is no sense to do a 6 inch with such body ratio.
Ok could be nice to see but is still big.
I would like to see this body ratio on

6" isn't as big as it seems. The huawei mate 8 has a 78% ratio with 6", and its shorter and only slightly wider than the iPhone 6s plus.

Overall this phone with probably be smaller than the 5.5" iPhone, and nobody seems to think that's too much. People tend to focus on the screen size too much, even on articles specifically about the ratio.

We call them tablets, but that's alright, we used to call modern phones "phablets", but we call them phones so I can see no problem that we should start calling 7+ inchers as phones too.

For example my Note Pro takes sim and it's 12.2 inches. It's a phone, I talk using hands free ... but it's a phone...

incredible! something like 7.8x15.3 or 7.9 cm x 15.1 cm for a 6 incher is awesome.
almost 1.1-1.3 cm less than sony XA 6"

I'll believe it when I see it.

Last time around ZTE had lied about body to screen ratio. Their phone was around 73% yet they reported it 78%. They probably lie again because they have figured that people don't know math to double check.

Another reason to doubt it is because Sharp, the industry leader in small bezels, had a couple of phones close to 80% mark but not one bigger than 83% in BtS.

Creating small bezels is tough and only a few select companies can do that. ZTE is not up there. Of course they may change it all with this phone, but like I said ... I doubt it.
