BlackBerry 9780 photos surface, some specs too - BB OS 6 inside

BB is not ready to break itself out of it's old shell. As we all know, BB = physical qwerty keyboard. The next 10 phones from BB will still be the same old same old physical qwerty.
Why is that?
1. The fear of doing something different or take away the physical qwerty keyboard, BB will lose it's identity. What's BB without the keys right?
2. BB does not have the innovation to re-invent anything else that will rock the world,
3. BB has therefore passed its time.
4. Nokia is struggling with it's smart phone
5. People are tuning to Android
6. Iphone is the current wave and a big one alright!

this phone would have been really good if it had a touchscreen aswell. i really liked the design of the bold 9700. its simple and looks smart

I can think of many other things I would rather have in place of a camera such as a higher capacity battery or dual sims or even a dual microsd card slots in place of a camera. People look at how many megapixels the camera on the cellphone has and think they are getting better photos from an 8 megapixel camera but they aren't just a photo that can be enlarged to a larger size but still looks as crappy as a photo from a 5 megapixel camera.

Blackberry and porsche uses the same design studio. Every new model looks almost exactly like the old one.

Anonymous, 25 Jul 2010I wish there were phones without a camera they take crappy ... moreunfortunately for u mate the market dictates the features and the majority of people aren't happy until they have a 20MP camera not knowing what any of it means. So a high end phone without a camera will never happen for marketing purposes.

I wish there were phones without a camera they take crappy photos anyway and would rather instead for a faster processor or bigger capacity battery or lower price instead of putting a camera in that takes poor photos and then including a higher resolution camera that only takes photos that are larger in size and can be printed out in larger crappy photos. The larger megapixels is no more than marketing for simple minded fools. There are places I go where they won't let you take a phone in with a camera so if the same model was offered without a camera I would take it in a heartbeat but there are fools who buy into the marketing of higher megapixels and so I know I am out of luck.

With all the new BB devices in the pipeline, their success will surely depend on how well the OS has been developed and whether or not it is still dull. Hardware simply need to be upper middle to satisfy most, so a 5mp camera seems minimal.

Ja seriously, BB really need to up their specs on camera especially, 5mp JUST cuts it, they really should be on 8mp by now

seriously rim needs to add features to there phones. like better camera and media features and entertainment features like the others. because your gonna get taken over by other companies. there are phones out there that can do same stuff as blackberrys but with better features :|

cool device .. i am using 9700 since Nov. thinking of buying something new during x-mas. i am excited about BB 6.0. i don't like slider, so this will be the best option to have. do you know when it will be in USA?

Its kids who will claim "same old boring device" but in reality this is a design that is perfect for businessmen a qwerty keyboard+ a fairly sized screen. This new os looks promising from its live video shots and can't wait to get one of these blackberry devices running on this new os,this might replace the nokia e72.
