Did you not read all the way to the end? Insight or not, I'd liked his views. Not neccesarily i trusted them and will tell my friends about it, but worthy of research.

The Hi-res sound Sony is the best one, if you love music this is the one I recommend. The camera new features is add in the track focusing object, this is nice and it can start up the camera 0.6 seconds, which is the faster than any S7E or 6s etc. The LDAC is offer by Sony only! This is a great feature to output your music in high quality, do S7E or 6s etc offer this high-tech to their fans? The specification of the Xperia X is super semi-flagship one, just they use the mixed CPU Snapdragon 650 and 2 cortex and Adreno 510 to provide the flagship performance and saving battery at the same time. It is lack a waterproof feature for Xperia X, but the Xperia X Performance is waterproof and it use the Snapdragon 820 and Adreno 530 real flagship spec.

And am sure there is no iphone SE also the iphone 6/s are not last generation. Kinds of smartness though... And it's not like I coursed on the iphone, Jeez

If Sony continue the Xperia Compact range with phone as good and better going forward then I'm happy.
Otherwise, as it stands the XPERIA X range is just a foot note in history better forgotten.

So that would not be comparing like with like. All the X series are current and most barely even match up to last years models let alone exceed them.

We all know iphones are always low on specs but flagship on performance so why do they have flagship prices.
The issues here should rather be why is HTC 10, LG G5 and SD820 S7 are all performing like midrangers yet every body is happy with there flagship prices. Because I don't see how you can justify low performance from top notch specs, meanwhile we celebrate the opposite on iphones. Come on the Xperia X even has a 3gb(4 on others) ram. So it's totally a waste of specs on those "flagships" which Apple figured out a life time ago.
And pls don't tell me I don't get your point bcos I totally did...

Only one does to be crippled in other ways. If they want to sell at top prices they need to offer top specs. I still stand by my commect that there is no sensible upgrade path from the Z5 premium. What they needed was a Z5 Premium replacement that simply replaced the notorious QC 810 with an 820. That is simply not there.

If you watch these 2 speed tests, the X is neck and neck and sometimes faster than the the LG G5 and the HTC 10 with only a Snapdragon 650. This is a proof of their excellent software optimization:

I just had another look through the X range and one thing stands out a mile. There is no upgrade path from the Z5 Premium. There is no 2K screen option, let lone 4K, in any of them and the only one that has a genuine processor upgrade has a substantially smaller battery. Hell, two of them are using Mediatek processors from last year that simply don't match up to the Qualcomm 820. If I owned a Z5 Premium there is no phone in the range I would go anywhere near.
They all come across as mid range. The XA ultra is a complete joke. A 6 inch screen that has a substantially smaller battery than the Z5 Premium, with it's 5.5 Inch screen. That battery should be at least 3500 mAh. Not to mention the X10 processor is last years model and benchmarks reflect that.
