Ovi Browser beta for S40 impersonates Opera Mini

29 July, 2010
Nokia S40 devices have been coming preloaded with Opera Mini for a long while, but this might be coming to an end. Nokia Beta Labs have introduced the Ovi Browser for S40, which takes the same approach...

Opera mini is opera mini. None of other browsers can beat opera mini. I'm happy with my 4.2 & 5. No need to give a try. Oh DAMN! i don't have any nokia phone! :P

Its about time to shed some limelight to S40. BUT! Many have tried to topple Opera Mini, none have survived. Nokia still have to innovate. Symbian freaks will cry! Hahaha!

Does someone know why some S40 devices are supported, but some other, also recent ones, are not?
                For example - 2700, 2730, X3 are supported, but 2710 - not.
The same is with the new Opera mini 5.

Different hardware architecture? It's definitely not lack of resources, AFAIK.

Nokia should buy Opera and should have bought Ericsson. So we would be in a perfect Scandinavian mobile paradise.

Try Opera Mini 5. It works on many series 40 phones and actually has tabbed browsing.

                      Tried it.
Opera Mini 4.2 is still better though, with more features and a bit faster overall.
