HTC smartwatch delayed yet again; Is it ever coming out?

"When HTC comes out with a smartwatch, we will turn the industry on its head." That's what CEO Cher Wang had said in February this year - tall claims indeed. Whether or not the device be a game changer is a different question, what HTC seems to be really struggling at the moment is fix a launch date for the device.

The problem with smartwatches is, imho, in their short lifecycle. I can buy any watch, from Hamilton to Omega, and, properly taken care of, it’ll last dozens of years. While I put out considerable amount of money on, say an Apple Watch, with all the bells and whistles, and after 2 years or so it’s an obsolete piece of electronics worth nearly zero. Just to imagine how much money you need to spend to be up-to-date with smartwatches puts me off, needles to say, I simply don’t need a smartwatch, my iPhone is sufficient.

      Again over-promising and under-delivering. They said HTC10 will be something special.. but in fact it just barely matches other flagships of the years and in many respects it is just average + 3 month late. Obviously their watch not going to turn single head... so why to pretend so much.. OK it will be launched (9 months late.. apple was 18 month late), but it won't deliver something what is not already exist in the market. More importantly we might be waiting for them to release something new... competitors are not, they are not waiting.. they are developing products of their own in mean time. HTC will go under (they are actually already under).. and not because they are crap company, but because they over-promise and the deliver mediocre products for extra-orbital price.

People are not begging them to release their phone! If the don't deliver, someone else will. And there is nothing special here in 10. Phone with these specs (except SoC) should've released last year. They don't have any competition left now, no outstanding features. Still screen is a bad one, only 3000mAh battery. Even without stereo front speakers, they have big bezels. Even the upcoming OnePlus 3 gonna outclass them. And they are pricing this thing at $700?! Are you serious! WoW!

BUT its HTC who doesn't care about us, about their products, because they want to be focused on something else (VR). Android community loves HTC, just like they love xda-developers or cyanogenmod, thats majority of them (including me) are angry about HTC's work. I hope that justifies OUR comment here.                   Please do dig your graves HTC, becuase this is pissing off hardcore fans like myself now, so I'd rather see you fall honourably instead of skimpishly because of launch delays for when you need money.

                      Hopefully not, there is no need for a HTC watch, they need to focus on their phones, silm down their range and start making money
