Google is feeling very generous these days, it seems. As you may know, if you already have a Chromecast, you can get three months of YouTube Red for just $1. But what if you don't own the bestselling streaming dongle?

I got YT red to get rid of adds and allow offline play on my phone. Now I get a free Chromecast? Cool.

It never states thet you are guaranteed to get one, just that some subscribers have been notified. So if thats all you subscribed for its not this articles fault you never got one!!

this is BS...... signed up never received any code, logged onto google chat, spent over 2 hours speaking to different people with no joy and no free chromecast.....
do not sign up to this nonsense......
happily cancelled the subscription...
