Most TV sets with excellent specifications are far cheaper than top shelf mobile phones and I'm not even gonna mention 128 GB iPhones priced so high, one would be able to get an OLED TV for that cash.

Well, now I'm extremely glad to have an old Sony-made dumb TV with an android box connected to it. That's a real sh*tty move by Samsung and hopefully will get people upset enough for the EU to set a ban on this kind of forceful advertising. There's enough ads on TV already to make most of us sick.

I keep my old laptop constantly hooked to my TV so my TV can't be smarter and not a single ad, thank you very much. And Samsung has dropped SW updates for it anyway.

Good thing I steered away from smart TV's.. Just bought a regular HDTV with nice color output and brightness and smooth motion

They cannot update in acceptable time their mobile phones with latest software but they can update the TV's software to a newer one that has adds. When someone is buying a tv why does he has to watch adds or have the microphone of the tv listening on the converstaions in order to make targeted adds. I buy a tv and thats it. Software upgrate is nice but not with adds for something i have spend good money on and it's not some freemium thing. If they give a price cut for the adds it's ok but to pay full price and get that...

mir, 31 May 2016Always turn to ads for revenue when you can't think of some... moreor tye your phone down so everyone has to pay for everything they do on it ,whilst you get a big cut from the big media vendors for being their DRM police men and not letting people do what they want with their own phone and files.You know what they say, better no hoss, than "i" os.
