AT&T's Lumia 640 and Verizon's Lumia 735 get Windows 10 Mobile

Running two 640s on 10 along side my 950XL and they are awesome. U just have to try it to believe it. Updated a 930 for a friend and she is so in love. If you want a good alterative device for 10, I'd say the 640 is it.

I wonder how much better or worse 735 gets with 10?
Loved that phone, aside from lacking app support, had nothing bad to say abput W8.1, aside from some minor things.
Still enjoy Android more than I did 8.1

The Windows 10 Mobile update is an upgrade from Windows Phone 8.1, therefore, the carrier still has to sign off the upgrade before it can be pushed out.
However, once the handset has been upgraded to Windows 10 the carrier no longer has a say in the updates process. Any further updates to Windows 10 are controlled and released by Microsoft, and won't be held up by carriers.

Microsoft release one more update which will fix all the bugs in current version of Windows 10 Mobile. Really frustrating bugs. I've seen their high end models restarting automatically. What more to expect from the mobiles like 730 which I'm using.

Never will understand how these phone updates are related just to particular cariers. It's like saying Windows 10 is now available for Dell, Asus and HP 14" laptops.

The "boss" as you referred to who is in charge of Lumias, that would be Microsoft Corp. ps: The Lumia ICON has incredible ratings, a device with grand features for photography and filming. Good luck!
