AnonD-89109, 07 Jun 2016LMAO. That Xiaomi you have there are built with Samsung ... moreFirst, let me say that I purposefully refuse to come down to your level and call you dumb, question whether you are a person at all or make assumptions about your income level and so on. But this is just a principle I have, not out of respect for you or your way of thinking.
And secondly, you initially say that a xiaomi phone is basically a samsung phone due to all its components (I couldn't care less who deliveres it as long as I get to keep my cash for better things than so called premium phones with shitty battery life) and then you say that those who compare the 2 are incredibly dumb.. Do you hear yourself?!! But why am I surprised when you proved repeatedly to be a premium class ignorant.
FYI, I am well off to afford whatever phone. But does it really matter how much money you make, if you end up spending it irrationally? Go get a gold plated samsung (cause that seems to be the only phone manufacturer for you.. or they pay you?) and maybe you will feel even more superior, smart and... evolved too!! And who knows, maybe it has special functions, other than feeding your ego!
I think we speak 2 different languages and there is no point continuing. At least I won't.
Good luck mr. premium kind of human.

When they play the last rites for the smartwatches, the smart band's will still be standing and doing well. Not one maker of smartwatches has made any headway with watches , as most people don't want to have a watch that does everything and then when you next realise it becomes outdated or for that matter, you get sick of it. Smart bands are in things, where you can wear it with your lovely watch on the other hand, and leave it behind when you need to project yourself with a dress watch.

AnonD-450960, 07 Jun 2016More brilliant is just your battery life comparison of 2 ph... moreLMAO.

That Xiaomi you have there are built with Samsung components mainly and some other OEMs stuffs as well. So basically you are using a Samsung. So kindly do shut up.

And yes, I feel very relieved by paying "premium" for a premium phone. Because even if something happens with my phone I will know that I can visit a service centre and have it solved.

And you are talking about evolution? What has Xiaomi evoluted, if that's a word? They are copying/assembling other companies hardware components, and putting them together in a "metal box" and selling it a low profit than other reputed companies. Obviously they can afford to do that because they don't have any intention of marketing and more importantly they have no intention of staying in the market for long, so they don't give a damn about after sales service either.

If baffles me how some people (if you can call them people anyway) compares a 3 year old OEM with a long time manufacturer.

Get a good job. My honest advice to you. Then you will be able to buy a good phone and won't have to think about whining. I sincerely hope your Xiaomi or whatever runs as good as you want it to be but if something happens then please don't come here and whine.

Those who pay launch price for a flagship phone, they are certainly dumb (or filthy rich), but those who buy a Xioami and then compare it with a Samsung are even more incredibly so.

AnonD-89109, 06 Jun 2016You have brilliant taste then, if you have gone to use some... moreMore brilliant is just your battery life comparison of 2 phones from different worlds. And battery life is so very relevant when you need your modern smartphone to do its job for more than a day on the go. What is actually irrelevant is the amount of pixels samsung flagships have. The user mostly feels the drain on the battery rather than the extra sharpness. What is the point of this innovation, really? Ohh, I know! To make stupid consumers take more and more cash out just to be in line with what the big billboards say is cool, ignoring their actual needs. Premium materials and feel you say make the difference? What is the point of that if you buy a plastic case from the very first day or otherwise.. risk denting your premium aluminium frame of a 600$ device. The redmi 3 is a metal unibody that dents as well, but I don't fear dropping as much as I feared for the glassy s6. 135$ would buy me an other one and I get to carry my phone around without a case. Yey!
And I too have seen one company. You have seen it as well. It was the greatest of all. But that did not save it from going bust. So it can happen to your currently mighty samsung (the one with the complete smartphones, apparently) or any other company out there that doesn't listen to consumers.
For me evolution means higher value per spend $. But you go ahead mr evolution and pay extra for premium devices (you probably should be in the sony camp - they have the world's only 4k display) so those companies would have higher budgets for marketing and little extra for innovations that actually matter. And tell yourself that you are smarter for that. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

AnonD-450960, 05 Jun 2016So you never used one, yet you confident is sewer worthy? S... moreYou have brilliant taste then, if you have gone to use some Redmi phone after using a Samsung flagship. Battery life is irrelevant anyway, I get 10 days still out of my Nokia 1200.

You must first know what it is that makes a mobile phone complete. I find it laughable that these small timers like Xiaomi and sorts come for a tiny amount of time, create a huge hype and then get obliterated in no time, forgotten, forever. Have seen so many companies, Xiaomi will just go down the same road.

People nowadays look at two things. Money and specs, that's it. There, done. A mobile phone is complete. After a year or so they will start badmouthing the same company they praised at first, but hilariously another Xiaomi like company will rise then, and they will be all over that.

Jeez! I sometimes think whether we have actually gone through an evolution or not, some of us at least.

I am currently using a redmi 3 and before that I had a samsung s6 edge. And I can't say the samsung is that much better. It certainly can't justify the 5x price tag. And besides, with the redmi (thanks to its 4100mah battery in a 8.5mm phone) I get 3 days on a single charge. S6 - 1 day max.
