A) The predecessor is called Alcatel Flash Plus and B) "that phone" was vague. How come you thought that FP1 was in any way relevant to our discussion? Stop rendering off-topic. Regarding the software update, that's the predecessor! We were talking about FP2. And even if this phone isn't going to get any update at all, it's still on MM instead of L of J3pro. Plus, you got other choices as well, L3 and H5c. By the way, those Chinese phones might have metal unibodies on par with, if not better than this phone. Plus two of them have fingerprint scanners! At the same price range as this crap. Lol, bad excuse? I urge you, please, get over the fact that people will still equip their phones with tempered glass for safety. Funny you only addressed the burn in while totally ignoring my other points. Anyways, yes, AMOLEDs have better viewing angles than IPS. I don't deny that. But their cons far outweigh their pros, IMHO. Also, I couldn't care less about iPhone using it. You know what, that act of copying and pasting Stock Android might be a pro seeing SA is much much more fluid and buttery-smooth than the TouchWiz. So, I don't know where you got that info about them having lower performance than TW-equipped devices. Chinese Android skins may not be the best, but I would still put them on top of TouchWiz on this phone. A lack of app drawer can be easily solved by installing a launcher of your liking. That's the beauty of Android.

It have bad speaker, horrible software, still stuck in kitkat too; since 2015! The metal unibody thing can be subjective. Not all smartphone used the same grade metal. High grade metal usually more expensive. The glass protection; your comeback is just bad excuse. Superamoled burn-in, yeah, biggest excuse any superamoled hater out there keep giving these day and not realizing the fact that ips is more expensive with less viewing angles meanwhile superamoled has gotten cheaper with highest viewing angles; even iphone will use it soon. Software, Touchwiz is way better than any cheap chinese brand skin that just copy paste stock android poorly with an even lower performance. Chinese android skin is just horrible and most if not all don't even have app drawer. They trying too hard to be iphone.

Now, where did you get that info FP 2's reputation? The phone just came out recently and after a quick Google search, nobody had reviewed the phone yet. So please, kindly, stop talking out of your bottom. Also, you think J3pro is going to receive updates at all? Lol. Samsung doesn't care about its entry-level smartphones, just like the majority of companies out there. The phones I mentioned all feature metal unibodies except for Lemon 3, so your argument is invalid. There are many 2.5D tempered glasses out there in the market as well. But you might say the glasses cost extra. Well, it's not like people aren't putting one of them on this phone as well. SAMOLED is overrated, anyways. They burn-in, their colors are getting washed over day by day because of the shorter lifespan of the blue subpixels, and have a lower subpixel density. Plus, I'm more than willing to bet that Samsung managed to put a lower-binned SAMOLED in this phone to cut costs, further worsening the quality. Anyways, your question can be easily answered. It's the specs. Those phones I mentioned have specs that can absolute wreck this poor phone. You might say "It's not about the specs that matter, it's the software". Hah, as if pathetic TouchWiz is any better. I'd gladly take IPS LCD over AMOLED any day of the week. Also, you're getting a screen protector for your phone anyways...

Especially the cheap ones. Fyi, this J3 Pro obviously not overpriced. $150 is overpriced? You see that metal build. You see that 2.5D glass. You see that SuperAmoled. You see that metallic gold paint finishes. Tell me which part of this phone don't deserve $150. Yeah, $99 plastic chinese phone with ips display and no glass protection is cheaper.

better wait for the zenfone 3.. just add more bucks and you will get a way far better specs. and way far better aesthetics. another option for this price range which has a far better specs. is the xiaomi and/or lenovo
