I'm not sure these snap on backs will do very well in the market because how will they work with a case? Most people put a case on their phones and this design appears to inhibit your ability to put a case around the edges, otherwise you'll constantly be removing cases to change your snap-ons, and then when you've got, say, a hassleblad camera back on your phone, you can't leave your case on it at all, most likely.

The Moto Z exterior design is good and better than LG G5.

Y'know, everybody once hated all the Moto X 2015 phones' design, now this Moto Z is surely following last year's rants. I honestly think the Moto Z doesn't look like your mainstream phones. Plus you get a better "modular" design here than in G5 cuz you don't get to turn the device off to swap modules.

yee, 06 Jun 2016with all due respect no one give a fk mate. same with modul... moreYou responded to tell me no one cares? I care, a lot of people care. Your friends might not like the G5 but I know several who love it. Maybe they won't use the modules but at least LG and Moto are trying to do something instead of carrying on with the same old designs and tech. If they fail, they fail but at least they tried. Motorola were the ones to first try FP scanners in the mainstream - Atrix 2011 - they failed at the time but now they're a standard feature on upper-range phones.
I think the modules are a great idea since ARA and PuzzlePhone are coming soon and they will introduce full modular phones to the masses. The LG and Moto 'modules' are a good way to introduce this idea to people who aren't necessarily tech savvy.

PS you may have missed letters but it still counts as swearing. Could've just said 'no one cares'. Just saying.

i know quite a few people using g5 and nobody even thinks to get any of "friends".
same with usb c connector... only one in a thousand(or more) users will ever use its capabilities...
just enjoy a good phone i guess...
              peace

RC255, 06 Jun 2016Will be looking forward to finally seeing these new Motos a... moreI think the idea would be to snap on these back covers instead of the motomods. I think it's actually better that way, it would help preserve the pogo pins when they're not being used, and the Style covers wouldn't get any wear from snapping the motomods on and off of them.

Will be looking forward to finally seeing these new Motos after all the leaks I'm interested to see how they actually look in the real world. One problem I'm seeing with these back covers is that they don't seem to have the connector points for the 'modules' - add-ons really - which could be a huge issue. I'm hoping these are just prototypes.

Hasselblad. HASSELBLAD??? Didn't see that coming. This phone became a worthy successor of the X line in my book thanks to that addition. Now I'm looking forward to it!

Honestly, nowhere as stylish as it used to be. It's just another generic looking phone with Mot label on it now.
