It is the X8 - budget version of the X10. Played around with it a few weeks back. Looks quite good.

IT's OFFICIAL: Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) will be released as soon as mid-October!!! only targeted towards superphones with minimum 512-1024 RAM!!

i men new design not a better design. yes the x10 design works for them but i prefer the design of aino or vivaz than the X10. why wont they try to make a vivaz design/look with andriod too, as an alternative to X10... thats what i mean.
well,, samsung phones almost looks the same either. but i kinda like the look of wave and galaxy s. i just hope SE comes with other designs for their android phones....

Q3 2010 smartphone with 1ghz cpu and you are still running on 1.6 LOL. Hardware is spot on.....its a shame you c0ck3d it up with your own software.... haven't we learn yet?... i was cross between x10 and the Desire, but i am so glad i bought the Desire instead, .... 2.1 and multi touch was the deal breaker :D already updated to froyo 2.2

ok heres the thing.
X10 can barely last a day without a recharge each day.
1.6 sucks and is old
camera is clunky, does not work properly
touchscreen is not really responsive
Had it in canada for like months

I find it a little strange that they're holding back the specs from their websites...??? You never know, it might be shipped with the 2.1 update at the same time as the OS update. I just think its weird that it has taken SE so long to bring the X10 to USA...Us lot in europe have had it for a ages??? I dunno... Sounds like SE weren't confident in releasing the 1.6 version in US without a backlash of angry customers... and fom what i can see, there are some pretty ANGRY people out there... Either way, people are gonna complain...
Regardless, the update IS coming...sit back and have a guinness... :D

im a die hard SE fan aswell but y u sayin se com up wit a better design when u blatently know samsung does exactly da same thing look at most of there recent fones dey all look da same (im not bashing samsung) most manufacturers r going with da same design look with a twist here and there but se knows the xperia design looks and is working for them hence y they doing it know. Nokia r kings of that same with samsung. i agree with u what r se doing da only thing i saw is release with up to date OS simple. Check the samsung & nokia line up

Android 2.1 Eclair is not avail yet on SE X10, you must be kidding...
What a JOKE..
HTC is anytime better, check out HTC Wildfire, you already have Android 2.1 Eclair pre- loaded on it and we are looking forward to the Android 2.2 update in the coming weeks. Added to all that HTC has the HTC Sense UI, which is real amazing.
Dont Ever make a mistake of buying SE X10, X10 Mini, X10 Pro, X8, etc itz exactly like the dumb people buying the Flawed IPhon 4.
If you so very badly need an Android, do check out HTC.

I want to see some SHOCK when SE says 2.1 or 2.2 update for X10 is actually a separate SE Xperia X11 device and you'll have to buy it :P

BTW, really huge disappointment it is. Neither new phone is coming nor the 2.1 Android upgrade. Strange is competitors are moving to 2.2 and 3.0 is just around the corner.
