After getting my wife an S7 Edge, mainly for the big battery, I found the edge quite useless and increases the probability of the glass breaking. It cost some $250 to replace the front panel. Samsung knows how to make business...

The edge screen should be for S7 Edge +. Note should reserve its classic feature. Or Just like Classic Galaxy, Sammy should launch a Note 7 Edge for people who prefer edge

If new note7 is releaset kinnd of with edge screen, then i will never bay it, it will not be interesting thing, bcz i got black note edge fy version and the edge is not very useful, edge os just to attract others but not much to do with it rther than notifications but then again i must pull down sceen to see again for any notifications.

I'm not saying edge screen are crap or anything and they should not make a note edge, but also make a normal note.

Until Apple makes an iPhone with curve screen, people will think the edge curve screen is useless and gimmick. Once Apple do the same thing, it is innovation and Apple always does it better. Too many idiot ppl with blinded minds.

If there won't be a non edge version, I'm very sad. Very very sad. I was waiting for note from months and skipped s7.
And I am not saying it is not useful. Because function is not the point here. Weather it is useful or not, the edge screen is just an aesthetic addition, and edge features are just to justify it's existence. And, sorry, but it doesn't look good.
It may look good, but only if the back and front of the device will be symmetrical, and for that, edge should be ever so slightly curved.

[deleted post]I think you're not smart enough to use edge features, and yeah, I know edge screen makes it fragile, so it's better to be careful, there is S7 Active that shatterproof screen, if you want a durable phone.

[deleted post]I guess idiots are the ones who don't know how to use things and are talking crap. Note is the only prosumer phone available ... I am struggling to find another comparable phone, in contrast iphone 6+ is useless and only looks grand as you said. It easily brakes and bends.. My girlfriend still uses Note 3 and she dropped it million times ... no damage. Funny enough last time she dropped it .. it actually scratched the wall and I had to paint it. The only real business phone with comprehensive functionality. My colleague switched to Note 4 from iphone and very happy ever after, no issues like breaking etc (and he is not the person who look well after the phones). If you cannot make use of it it is your problem not the phone's. As well my words are confirmed by statistics - most loved phone in US! (that apple sanctuary).. If Note would be bad phone that won't happen..

That's not what I'm looking for so my next phone after note 2, 3 and 4 will be brand new note 4 to replace my old one.

edge or no edge, i want the next note phone to maximize multitasking as well as the s pen. if being able to write on the edge screen falls into that, then i'm all for it. of course, just as long as that's not the only significant new thing to the phone.
