That was the point and reality all the way along, but you probably from parallel universe where apple is doing well? Are you? iPhone 6 was hit - one of the best selling smartphone of all times 100mln (the best selling phone overall was Nokia 1100 - 250 mln)... Now reason for this are few - First of all long waited bigger screen, not only grabbed android fans, but forced to upgrade some older iphones even previous years 5s, which is not typical cycle. Samsung was as well very weak on their 5S that year, widely criticised for design and materials used... generally Android were weak that year - maybe already knowing rumors and expecting apple to sell well.. just skipped it.
Now your assumption that 6s is selling well because 6 did well is completely wrong and based on nothing. Quite opposite many people were deterred from buying 6s because of 6 #bendgate and generally poor quality. Furthermore, very weak offering, little changes from original 6 and finally for many it becomes clear that apple is falling behind in major components... like screen, camera etc... And finally, competitions was extremely fierce ... Samsung s6 and 6 edge had great design, won many "phone of the year" titles and finally bring "cool factor" into their line. Similarly as it was apple weak point - small screen. For Samsung it was use of plastic and not more premium materials - S6 mean to be hit from very beginning. Apple repeatedly reported slowdown and cut order for 6s, their share price and profitability fallen. Expectation for both tablets and iphones sales were slashed and now everyone is really waiting for iphone 7 to come out.. buying 6s would be the biggest mistake - something even apple fans understand. Iphone 6s is one of the worst selling iphones of all time. And first iphones to sell less than the previous model.

Do you have reading problems? IPhone 6 share is 34% and iPhone 6s is 20%. 6s share never was 34%
And you know that Apple have sold huge amount of iPhone 6 so you can clearly see that 6s also selling very well

Apple actually don't even sold 51 million since September.. they Only made them, which means there might be few millions of them laying around shelves in in stores and not necessary were already sold. There is no way they sold 51 million in festive period either, because that would be more than any other phone ever.. including iphones.. and We all know for a fact iphone 6s is selling worse then original 6... so no way this is true. The next lie from you should be - "they sold 51 million in one day in US alone...." or something similar .. out of nowhere...

Apple sold about that in holiday q alone, why i know, Apple ASP (690) actually went up from iPhone 6 launch q.
Are you throwing those numbers from your hat? I already showed to you that 6s share of all iPhones are about 20% and its second most used iPhone and share growing all every day.

I think its really good that samsung could sell 25 million units ( only s7/edge) not including the other millions of low and mid range devices being sold in the same period. No one gives a flying f**k about the iphone 7, not even apple, so I don see it as a threat to samsung. Apple makes two frigging phones a year and are the only ones on ios so it's quite obvious that everyone on ios HAS TO get an iPhone so their sales will be stronger in the flagship dept. With so much competition on android samsung has done an outstanding job in terms of sales. Samsung had features years ago that apple users can only dream of even today so do the math before commenting.

Apple iphones put together takes very little market share of ~11% of all devices used world wide. 6s may take 34% of that 11%.. so ~3% of all devices currently in use. Either your statistics is from single country or outright wrong. Obvious, logical mistake - apple sold 51 million iphone 6s/6s+ since September, so there is no way they could have sold 51 million again in Q1, yet alone since march.

IPhone 6s is second most used iPhone in market with share of 20% (and growing all the time) iPhone 6 is 34%

To be more precise apple sold 13 millions in Q1.. but since the launch of S7 in March they only sold 5... Meaning that iphone 6s is by far not the best selling smartphone. In same time Samsung sold 25 millions(5 times more) even SE comes closer (I guess.. they definitely sold more than 5 millions of those low and craphones).

Again.. this is comparing oranges to apples.. Apple launches one device per year, Samsung 100. It cannot be expected that Samsung will get same weekend sales results on the launch week 100 times per year. Yet they sill sell more flagship devices and more devices overall.. And that is only considering apple has flagship.. as I can only consider iphone as upper mid range at the best..

I might sold 51 millions since launch in September, but it is definitely not best selling phone on day by day basis. As well it sold 51 millions over 10 months which is equal to 5.1 million/month, Samsung sold 25 millions in 4 month which is 6.25 million/month even more iphone is the only phone apple is selling.. Samsung has diverse range of devices and probably already shipped ~150 million this year or 25 millions/month.. I don't see how iphone 6s can be single best selling device or best selling type of device... now way..

However, for worldwide giants like Samsung US is relatively small and because of competition not very profitable market. Samsung still sells many more phones worldwide then apple. I think the important bit is that in top of US most loved phones we have Note 5 (which is niche product).. and more Samsung devices in top 20 than any other manufacturers. Why it is important? - because it means Samsung is not only about quantities ( as many crapple fans would like to believe), but they are increasingly quality phones getting stable fanbase. That is because of honesty, reliability and technology.. Yes apple still "cool".. but people starting to realise big lie behind their outdated and overpriced devices.
