God, if we're waiting on Telstra to bring it to our handsets we'll be waiting until the end of time. My last carrier phone from them (Note 3) wasn't receiving updates even 12 months after the manufacturer released it for unlocked handsets. Absolutely pathetic

    Yet, I am with Telstra and I haven't encountered those rarer than not issues of a few hours downtime and much prefer the actual reception, signal increase and call usability in far more areas :p The 200Mbit+ 4GX speeds aren't bad either, more often than not. Though others may have caught up with that now they've finally bought some of the old analogue spectrum to use for their network and to actually compete... either way, larger benefits over rare inconvieniences for me :p
