That's too bad. The Moto X was one of the best smartphone designs ever. The Moto Z is boring and like so many other phones. It looks like Motorola's best days may be behind it. And they were just barely getting back on their feet with the Moto X.

"It will be certainly difficult for Moto to fill the void", I think this is an understatement. If they use chinese designers who are use to only copying other brands that void may never be filled and by looking at the Moto G4 and Moto Z we all know what is going to happen.

AnonD-468425, 22 Jun 2016So true and soon Motorola would just become the second log... moreAnd the product quality of Motorola phones have also degraded with the Lenovo acquisition. The recently launched Moto G4 Plus seems to quickly heat up to abnormal levels under 15 mins of heavy use. Temperatures rise in the south of 50 degrees!!!

I was going through the now famous "Heating issues in Moto G4 plus" thread at motorola forums (link: forums.lenovo.com/t5/Moto-G4-Moto-G4-Plus/bd-p/MotoG4thGen) and it seems they are now shipping it with a palsy 15 watt charger rather than the 25 watt turbo charger which they did with the first batch of G4+ in India. So remaining the price constant at INR 15K we are now having a low quality wall charger. And it also seems the display quality of the next batch of G4+ have deteriorated a lot.

So, NO more Lenovo made Motorola's for me.

in fact , the Vibe X3 , is the failed product , until now day no ppl want to use it.
                      hope to see 6" FHD , 8GB ram , 128GB rom , duo sim , 4 speaker , extrude earphone design , USB 7.1 headset , 5000mah battery , F1.7 camera .

My guess is that he was forcibly ousted by the new brass. Moto X design is awesome, but moto x is dead; now all future motos will be samsung lookalikes. He's probably been job hunting for a while, and now that he got a new position he can finally quit knowing his brainchilds are all dead.

Jim be like: So now that I have ruined the designs of the Moto Z and Moto G4, let's leave this company on it's own. :D

One by one some the great names in Motorola are leaving the company. All knows the contribution of these people, and the timeless designs that Motorola used to deliver with their Moto X and G series smartphones before Lenovo took over this company and changed its course.

Motorola was the other name for practicality for me, a manufacturer who designs sturdy, well designed smartphones which we can really use day in day out. Not a show item. Now Lenovo is chasing thinness with their renamed Moto Z lineup, even the recent G4 Plus is so flat and odd looking than the previous G series phones.

So now we have Lenovo G4 Plus, Lenovo Moto X and Lenovo Moto Z managed by the Chinese management.
