Gear VR and compatible smartphones receive price cut in US

If you are in the US and are planning to buy Samsung's Gear VR headset or any of the compatible smartphones, here is some good news: the virtual reality headset as well as the handsets are currently available at discounted rates in the country.

    S7 edge was 50$ in best buy canada with a two year contracts and free vr and free micro sd card last weekend. Probably best deal ever for a 3 months old flagship phone.

      The only price I see is $300 for refurbished model. Are you sure you didn't misspell $299?

        If you said who would spend $80 for a VR headset when there are $30 low-end VR headsets available, that could be debatable. For someone who bought a $30 low-end VR headset (Breett), I can say you get what you pay for, just an entry into the VR market for simple media consumption. My set doesn't even have a god damn button to press to make a selection like in Cardboard. Anyway, I still do not regret my purchase decision, I think Galaxy VR would have been over the top for what I wanted to do which was simply to "check it out".

        Eventually, I will buy a Vive, but it would be stpid for me to think some of my female colleagues who don't play games to spend ~$3500 just to "try" VR.

          Is that website to be trusted? I dont see any reviews from people for any phone...Very suspicious...Makes me definitely think twice before order from a site like that.

                    Who would buy a Gear VR with lousy specs and gets outdated by end of 2016 if one can buy a more future proof HTC Vive?
                    The price you pay for HTC Vive is much more worth it.
