so 0.2 inch diagonal increase in size and no upgrade in battery department

yes there is s pen which take space but if samsung can squeezer 3600 mah into s7 edge i am sure they can put more on note 7 like 3800 or 4000 mah like we want

Zenodroid, 30 Jun 2016yes, im talking about that samsung should make phones with ... moreThose are indeed things that samsung has in phones and what i wish they would just combine into one all super powerful device. Not just random things. Just my wishes.

And i said minimum 13mm. You do realize the N8 is 12.9mm thick right?
The only reason it would need to be thicker is because of the zoom lense i mentioned from the galaxy zoom. Or my mentioning of a physical keyboard again.

But with a 5.7 inch display and 13mm thickness even with other goodies they could probably get at least 8k battery

[deleted post]yes, im talking about that samsung should make phones with good batteries and not just make phones fat with all other random stuff. they should keep it as it is, just a little fatter, for a better battery. 3k+ batteries are so early 2015. standard should be at least 4k+ on qhd phones. 5k on uhd phones. the s8 should be as the s8 will be, but fat as the nokia n8, bc of a 4k or better battery. so the phone would last longer than a day.

The haters are talking about how To... moreI get that but times have changed and Samsung is just doing what other companies are doing so why are they only at fault? I don't see as many people complaining about a missing SD card slot or removable battery in non-Samsung related posts but they (haters) love using it as an opportunity to bash on the company because they broke their lil heart, that's why they hold onto their Note 4 ever-so tightly. Literally the only company that offers that feature with flagship specs to boot is LG with their poorly implemented modular design, which totally makes the phone look awful like a really ugly baby lol

It's more people that like Samsung that are upset by the lack of reliable battery because up from the s1-s5 and Note 1-note 4 removable battery and sd card slot were staples

AnonD-46008, 30 Jun 2016actually, im talking about a nokia c7 and a samsung galaxy ... moreYeah a lot of nonsense has been peddled by companies about modern phone grade batteries. Truth is they are all going to belly up after ~300-400 cycles. A very important factor is temperature of the cells. The higher the temp during charge (some of it inevitable) the faster the aging of the cell. Most people neither can control this nor do they pay any attention to it. In humid and hot climates these batteries are taking a heavy beating. Marketing slides are put together from data obtained in lab based carefully temperature controlled environments. It's pretty much like a power mosfet spec sheet, the saturation current (Ids) readings are given at a certain temp like say 40C, when in reality working conditions for the power mosfet are close to 90C+ so that claimed Ids current rating is not going to be seen due to higher temps, they actually show graphs to point this out too. Battery life is pretty much the same way except you don't get the honest graphs in a spec sheet, in some countries the batteries age way more faster than in a cold climate of say Alaska. Yet another factor is the charging style. Charging upto 100% is stress, so is draining a battery below 15-20%, the comfortable zone is in that 20-80% range for cells. No one really cares too much about this in daily usage. The claims from labs are based on these regions. not the 100-0 or 0-100 cycles.
