we have no doubt that Galaxy note 7 had a bad batch production with battery issues pictures of affected customers with damaged phones are found in internet.
But how about the others 30 affected phones of the 35 reported. Now a day everybody upload videos to YouTube or comment on blogs I always see the same damaged phones on youtube, Nobody else has posted a reliable proof of the damaged phone, two persons in usa have blamed the phone for the damaged caused on his car (jeep) and another his home burned down.
But how about all the retailer and stores around the world exposing the phones galaxy note 7 and many others devices connected to the power supply( chargers) 24 hours a day 7 days a week and none of the galaxy note 7 in that short period of time in the showrooms were affected, I could see and play with the note 7 at best buy store which was connected all the time. and none of the retailers reported a bad phone.
once again I have no doubt at all of the bad batch with the galaxy note 7 but there are a lot of people out there who take advantage of the situations to act the wrong way.
Samsung will overcome this crisis and I am confident that they will be offering the best products to customers and best customerservice.
Thank you.

I love how Samsung first made the Note Edge with a useful edgescreen, and then minimized it to almost nothing. These edges do nothing but increase cost. I for one will continue to use the Note Edge. Thanks.

i want a phone from samsung with follwing specs
5.2 inch full hd super amoled screen
        64 gb minimum internal storage
13 mp rear and 5 mp front camera
        removable 3300/3100(j5 2016) battery
        quick charge 1.0 or 2.0
octa core processor clocked upto 1.7 ghz

i think this phone is very to all users

I hope cam is better that way - bigger aperture, higher pixel number, using white pixels. Sony can catch great amount of light and right colors even with f2.0 , I dont think they will do f2 forever, I expect great low light battle.

If there are ir and fm radio i will get back to samsung other wise, sooory
If any doesn't need it fine, for me its essential with out ir and fm its not what i own

Since Samsung started copying iPhone specification,by limiting its components it became worst than iphone

AnonD-442781, 03 Jul 2016Unless we know what you were doing with your phone in terms... moreand just so we're clear about the GSam Battery monitor app stats:

              http://flic.kr/p/HNhdyL

AnonD-442781, 03 Jul 2016Unless we know what you were doing with your phone in terms... moreI do even use GSam Battery Monitor as an alternative app. It's telling me that my estimates and my actual usage times are on the dot. 21:39 ETIMATED battery full usage (with averge 17:37 actual usage); SOT at 7:13 (with maximum 10:53). This is how much I'm getting from a 10,000mAh, with the heavy usage I PERSONALLY of my Note 3.

Again, this is the WAY I personally use my device. I do not play games. I watch shows, YouTube, internet music, listen to EBooks being read via Voice to Text, browse, all notifications on, download 2GB average of torrents daily. I even use it as a Hotspot for my gaming laptop. Connected to 2 BT devices.

All of the above I can say use my Note 3 as 90% daily. Why should I be at the mercy of status-quo person's limited usage time and limited data usages?

I used to change to a fresh battery every 4:00pm, but not anymore. I never have to even carry any extra batteries, nor a powerbank, nor a charger. I have no worries for power running out for the day. This is why I want either a minimum 6000mAh, or a removable battery system.

AnonD-442781, 03 Jul 2016Unless we know what you were doing with your phone in terms... moreThat's right. Most people like the fragile glass, but then Samsung made losses when they took out memory expansion, even with the Note.5. Even my spouse don't about battery till the low battery indicator beeps. She even uses less than 3GB LTE data for the month. And yes, she can get through 18 hours with some 20% left out of that 3600mAh.

The statistics are mostly with browsing and YouTube, as I HAVE MENTIONED. S7 Edge used at pretty much a status quo person like you. My point is, they took out the option for people like me to have bigger battery and/or to replace a worn out battery, so that people like you will be forced to get a new phone every year. Yeah, there's nothing wrong - it will always say 100% after every full charge, right?

Yes, because putting in that fragile glass back is such the most logical thing... /S
Yes, people like putting in a rubber/plastic casing... /S
Yes, people like carrying around powerbanks with that thin fragile phone.../S

Why in the world are do we want to inherit what iPhone users' problems?

NoteMan, 03 Jul 2016Higher battery if they are going with the entire sealed bat... moreUnless we know what you were doing with your phone in terms of actual usage, they simply aren't comparable. Usage has to be the same. You'd have had more reliable data if you simply ran a battery benchmark. And I'm pretty sure there are some apps that tell you about the battery capacity too.

Your abnormal usage is so abnormal that its not worth bringing up. No normal person uses anywhere near as much data as you, and no normal person uses their phone as a hotspot for their PC. Average data usage is 1gb a month, you use at least 90gb, potentially more than that.

Proof that nobody cares? sales went up when they went from the galaxy s5 to the galaxy s6. People care about glass back.

AnonD-442781, 03 Jul 2016Your test wasn't scientific, and it doesn't show that the b... moreHigher battery if they are going with the entire sealed battery concept. 6000mAh could give me what I need. Or at least give the option to be able to change the battery to an even higher capacity. That's the ticket.

The reality is that smartphone have become a handy extended PC terminal, users using them more than the laptop they carry SOMETIMES. How many percentage carry around chargers, and those who need to charge before going home? I can say a lot. Not all have cars. Not all are in offices. Not all have access to an outlet. NOT everyone is a light user.

Are you kidding me? Fragile glass back for "premium" phones? That has to be the most silliest concept that consumers want. Wireless charging actually accelerate battery degradation. That's factual, and no one is pointing it out? People like you don't want to hear about it. You want that shiny fragile back for it? What's even more amusing is that you NEED to slap in a rubber/plastic case from drops.

I have notice drops. Look at the data. The S7 Edge in the recorded cycle can get over 7H SOT before it can reach 15%. And then look at #46, about a month later - Only 4H SOT when it reaches 15%. If you aren't still convinced, look at #40, reaches 16% battery with only 3:20H SOT, even with LOWER data usage. Entries #3 and #10 are examples of gaming binge with Need for Speed, that resulted to 6H of SOT. Do you see the pattern?

If you want suggest a better scientific method of gauging battery performances, I am open to one. I'm over 100 cycle with my Note 3's 10,000mAh battery charge cycles, and I know that having the average of that number of cycles can give me a very predictable outcome with the way I usually would use my device WITHOUT LIMITATIONS.

At least I KNOW I can never get 6H SOT, 3GB data usage, on a 16H stretch, with 40% battery left from an S7 Edge's stock 3600mAh. It would be the same case with the Note7 if they do provide the SAME battery capacity. I don't like worrying about battery life - DO you like to worry about such nonsense that you need to be limiting usage?

I did ... moreIt doesn't change that your usage is abnormal and Samsung shouldn't cater to people like you when making mainstream phones. They would lose money from doing that, as most other people don't want what you want and would be detrimented by what you want, so they wouldn't buy.

His whole complaint is based on his abnormal usage patterns, I was pointing out how ridiculous it is for him to criticise Samsung based on that.

Not another username, 02 Jul 2016I'm struggling to imagine how I could use 3GB data on a pho... moreYes, with almost 3 GB daily. I have an unlimited LTE data service, and it's even faster than my home cable service.

There are so many many things you can do with Internet with your smartphone:
                              *Hotspot for my gaming PC
                              *Internet music
                              *cloud sync everything
*download latest TV shows and movies on the go
                              *YouTube
                              *video chatting
                              *reading about anything
                              *forums like this

So it helps that I can put in a triple-capacity battery that DIRECTLY powers my device. No nonsense about having to charge during the day.

I may be one of the few exceptions, but I'm maximizing what I am paying for, and I do not see the fuss about sealed. When my latest battery starts to become unreliable, I just buy a new one.

Maybe that person is constantly playing online games, downloading a lot of info, streams videos, etc. Maybe thats' all he do all day or maybe he uses his phone as a personal hotspot.
