its been a week with my Mi Band 2 - below is my view
Pros
- Battery life is superb
- Heart rate/Sleep monitor seems accrurate
Cons
- Step count doesnt seems right, I was on driving all day on sunday and at the end of the day step count is: 2000+ .. I barely walked for 100 steps . Not sure why the count is so high
- Heart rate monitor doesnt get results always, 3 times out of 5 works. It says "--X"
- IOS app sucks, I had to try couple of times to sync data from band to phone.

One issue with this band i would point out is that it doesn´t have a scratch resistant glass. We had one for a couple days and it already has a huge scratch on the screen.

Hi All, after 10 days of use this band i really happy about the battery life is amazing and for those who are mostly looking for general features ( heart rate monitor ,pedometer,sleep tracker, allergy free,minimal notifications of phone activity,sit alarms) of fitness band i would recommend to buy this, band is just now moving around the world so popular apps needs to update for this band ,mi fit is most connecting app for now onwards (most features in cheap price and one more thing is all monitors of this band are almost accurate

The band CAN'T detect the light environment, it uses preset time periods in which it determines if you are sleeping or not by detecting your body movement. And yes, it can't detect afternoon naps, because of this preset time periods.
2 - I think it's actually almost perfect in terms of functionality. I only missed the clock in order to get rid of my "real clock". I've never missed a call and can almost instantly reply to important for me notifications, without carrying my phone constantly in my pocket.
3 - My strap is over a year old (I have the first RGB Mi Band) and it's perfectly fine - no damage or worn at all. Not the same for the actual Mi Band body - some minor scratches and worn sights.
Soo I can't wait to get my Mi Band 2. I'm sure it wont be perfect, but there are a lot of improvements from previous generation.

Are you going to wear a band without your phone? Don't think so & as I mentioned "you always have to check your phone in order to use Mi band".
I'm specifically talking about this garbage but again I see you are Samsuck fangirl, so naturally will hate Apple Watch :P

They just add things which we really want on our wrist. nothing more. I am just expecting a super lite digital watch with MI band 3. So that I can throw away my digital watch.

Do you strap your phone to your head to monitor your sleep and heart pulse.....? It warns you about your pulse rate and it is so lite you don't even know it's there. It gives you notification better than your phone because it's vibration is that strong and you will never miss an alarm and you don't bother other it's just vibrates in your wrist. Only one thing missing in this is the time. Unfortunately not this screen. I was kinda hoping for a watch sized design. I will through away my watch the minute xiaomi release such a device......... Huh and never say apple watch does that...... Apple watch sucks........

The feature showing the duration of sleep is ambiguous, once you slept in afternoon it won't record the time slept in afternoon, so its clear that the device has an algorithm of tracking your sleep pattern on two criterion
a.Motion of your body
b.Illumination of your environment
Hence it can't be used to track sleep pattern in afternoon or you just lie down for a nap with bedroom lights switched on making it a ambiguous device.
2. The biggest drawback of Mi band is that it lacks a display, you always have to check your phone in order to use Mi band, it has 3 led lights which indicate the notifications depending upon the sequence of glow of lighting. Moreover the led lights aren't clearly visible in illuminated environment.
3. the strap is made of not so good material, strap might worn out in 3 months!
My iPhone App does a better job, it's useless to spend money on these fitness bands
