Hardly suprising news HTC insist on keep releaseing crippled over-priced devices and refuse to listen to their possible customers,so we end up with crud like the M10.
They are probably hoping they can take a lead in be and then make those for others like they did with phones when they were xda,but it won't work,HTC are looking more and more like a finished company, bankrupt of ideas and just bankrupt..

Credit where it is due, good job to Oppo's and Vivo's marketing department.
Here I can easily spot their ads be it billboards or newspapers. Heck even when I browse the web.
They do compete with Samsung for attention.

                    HTC... that's a shame...

When you look at the HTC 10 availability in Europe it's no wonder. Even if the customers wanted to buy HTC they wouldn't have the chance (especially the dark version). It's always like that with HTC - everlasting delays. And exclusive colors to some regions.

I'm an HTC fan but been waiting for the chance to buy the 10 for too long now so I'll be probably switching to another manufacturer. I thing it's the manufacturer's role to attract customer not otherwise.

I think HTC is focusing on the US market because in other regions they don't offer programs like Uh-Oh protection etc. Ironically - unlocked phones in the US are cheaper than in Europe.

HTC overall is fantastic. They now just need more and better marketing. We just bought 3 units for the business. Its quality we want. Awesome.

HTC should make compact version of HTC 10. Same hardware but in smaller dimensions with removable battery. Price ~ -10% Z5C.

I have only recently got to hold and use an HTC. Way nicer to use and better built than any other phone, so this is a pitty. But they havevthemselves to blame. a) Awful marketing. b) Risking THE most important smartphone feature, the camera, in the M8. c) Omitting the most popular HTC feature, stereo speakers, from the HTC 10. Their management are out of touch. Pitty too as the 10 looks nice and is othewise pretty snazzy.

It's a shame really that crappy brands like Vivo & others are gaining at the expense of HTC which has (so far) been at the forefront of design.
Perhaps time for HTC to cut their profit margins from over 40-50% per phone to somewhere in the range of ~10% like some of the Chinese makers, that should lead to a resurgence. But, if they keep up this sham of charging flagship+ prices for low-to-midrange devices then they will very quickly be replaced by the newbies.

Galaxy S7 can already be had for $499. I wouldn't pay more than $200 for a flagship phone. It doesn't have to be the current year's flagship to be great.

                                    Htc and blackberry should merge

Oppo even doesn't release a flagship yet. A find series or N series.
