Anonymous, 05 Jul 2016I have Lumia 640 and Windows 10 Mobile is the worst system ... moreI feel like sometimes with a windows phone upgrade, it’s better to install the upgrade first, and then reset it. That way you will have a clean version of Windows.

AnonD-506570, 05 Jul 2016I cannot foresee any big demand for this product anyhow. It won't have big demand. It's simply HP getting their foot into the door for the future of devices. Phones will become more like your main CPU and they will interact with dummy terminals and use the phones CPU power. Phones are computers, no reason why people should be buying separate computers for different tasks. There will always be more advanced needs such as gaming or professional computing, but the majority of consumers don't need that. The surface line took a while to catch on. MS has also learned a lot from it in terms of hardware design and software integration. There will be people that buy it no doubt but it won't sell like hot cakes. But HP will gain a lot of analytics and experience in the process. Once MS releases the surface reference design OEMs can then follow and innovate on it or just plain copy it. But they will be able to compete with pricing and other things. MS will just sell the premium line like it does with the surface 2-in-1s. They also sell them for pretty high prices as to not overstep the OEMs.

AJ_74, 05 Jul 2016I don't know why people lie about WP being a good OS, let a... moreHonestly. I think it's the best OS. I have an iphone 6 and asus zenfone 2. ios is the best for apps bar none. The problem with windows 10 mobile is that it's not finished. When I first got my 950XL it was really rough. But now I'm on the insider builds and as the new anniversary edition is approaching it's actually gotten more stable. The stable branch is pretty good but I prefer the insider builds as they have way more features and the UI is a lot better. The thing is it's the most customizable Os out of the box. No additional loaders/launchers or anything and you can get it looking like anything really.

There are way better ones out there by other people. Some pretty crazy stuff can be done.

However, I still don't think it's ready for consumers. And MS doesn't think so either and this is why they retrenched and are building everything from the software to hardware for spring 2017. I did buy the lumia 950XL, but it's more of a first attempt reference phone. It was designed for people who kept ragging about no lumia flagship. There will no longer be lumia phones out there so these were the last. It's a great phone and the custom covers make it look much nicer. Mine is the brown leather one on the far right: http://i.imgur.com/HCP7RJX.jpg

Anyways, honestly the OS battles are sort of childish. You like what you like but no need to put down others. I have friends using android/ios and all that. None of us ever battle for what's better. We know that we got these phones for our own needs and it's our own personal opinions. Acceptance is the first step to realizing the world doesn't revolve around you. Even Blackberry has their crowd and good for them for enjoying their phones.

                      Well said ajl

People must just take a bit of time and test something new. I also have tried all the Mobile OS versions. Each person has a personal Preference. Used what you feel comfortable. You want to stick with Android, do it. You wanna stick with iOS, do it.

I never heard any positive rema... moreI don't know about you, but I'm using a Lumia 925 at the moment and I'm planning on buying the Elite X3. I wouldn't go back to Android even if I were to be paid for it. I might, however, go back to iOS in a couple of years - if they will make it much better than it is now - but I don't think that will happen.

For one, I need things to run top notch and Windows provides that. Plus the interface is the most advanced and useful one out there. Looks and feels great.

Maybe they work for MS' phone division and are trying preserve their jobs (though they deserve to be laid off for years and years of horribly designed Lumia phones and the steaming pile of dung that is the WP OS).

Or maybe WP attracts the world's biggest and most annoying contrarians, who'll rabidly defend the worst of anything just to be different from the general population.

Or maybe they're just too dumb to know better.

That's why Android even started copying Windows's flat design (call it "material design") and the general minimalistic style and animations.
