Anonymous, 09 Sep 2010this phone look promising. But $200 is too much compare to ... moreG2 is a same level device as Samsung Vibrant but with a physical keyboard. If I need keyboard, I would choose this over Droid 2, especially given that this is a "Google Phone" without extra weight.

For those who still have not gotten the message - G2's Snapdragon is NOT the same as the other Snapdragons we have seen so far! Its GPU (Adreno 205) is much faster, closing on Samsung's Hummingbird's level.

Idtiot, 09 Sep 2010The specs is bad... its like a middle end phone.4mbs internal with 5mp camera and an (underclocked) qualcom running at 800ghz. They underclock it to extend battery life, which is the NUMBER one complaint about smartphone, not processing speed. This is, of course, why they get paid good money, and you troll GSM arena.

Companys care about , 09 Sep 2010Where I live we went from 7.2Mbps to 14.4Mbps and then to H... moreHSPA+ on this device will come standard wth the unlimited web feature, the guy with the curve 8520 on EDGE is paying th same amount as the guy with themytouch 3G, who is also paying the same amount as the guy with the G2, which will run HSPA+. If you live in a bad market it's not the companies fault, they'd more than likely lose money by dumping money into a less densely populated area.

Does it have a front facing camera? I'm gonna venture and guess that it doesn't; based on the pictures provided. Can anyone confirm?

Where I live we went from 7.2Mbps to 14.4Mbps and then to HSPA+ at 21.6Mbps. Now they are setting up for LTE soon, the best part of all this rise in speed is that my downloads on speedtest went from 1Mbps at 7.2Mbps plan to 1Mbps on the 21.6Mbps plan! So even with LTE it will most likely be 1Mbps. Yes I was paying $120/month for 1Mbps, dont blam me because it is the only option for internet where I live. The point to my horror story is that they dont tell you that the speed they advertise is from your cell phone to their tower which is for example 21.6, but from the tower to the rest of the internet is as slow as their bandwidth can handle. Remember every user who connects to the tower you are using is taking your bandwidth, so yeah the company may add HSDPA+ but not have a network that can support even 2Mbps and charge an extra premium. I love life!
