If only note was released in october like note4 and earlier versions, we might have witnessed the first ever new note + new android combo in the same year.

AnonD-507364, 06 Jul 2016Samsung has the worst update compare with LG, HTC and Motorola. Even a clock that is stopped is right twice a day.

I dont care which of the two it will run on. I just want it launch already.

AnonD-196068, 06 Jul 2016I appreciate the S-Pen precludes it but what I'd give for G... moreAnd why do you think that happens? A phone with great hardware and yet pure Android? Its because all these companies have made some sort of business agreements that you do that, let us do something else, so that we can all stay afloat in mobile business.

You want pure Android with mediocre hardware, go for Motorola, Sony, you want a little bit customisation with great built but poor camera (still), go for HTC, and if you wanna give up on pure Android and go for superior hardware only go for Samsung. You want to burn your money and get absolutely nothing, go for iPhone.
          Simple as that.

Universal7420 with 3 gigs of RAM aka the Galaxy S6. I don't suppose it's very hard for Samsung or some other knowledgable techie to change the model number.

AnonD-196068, 06 Jul 2016I appreciate the S-Pen precludes it but what I'd give for G... moreThe Galaxy Note IS WITH an S Pen. That's the differentiation from other devices, and you want it out? Duh. You can just get the S series for that, or go Nexus if you are into "pure Android".

I appreciate the S-Pen precludes it but what I'd give for Google Play Edition of the Note 7. I would happily forego the S-Pen for that. No one has ever to the best of my knowledge in recent times come up with a top spec. (I don't consider any phone with the SD 810 top range) hardware wise phone that also comes with the latest software that is updated in a reasonable time scale.

AnonD-507364, 06 Jul 2016Samsung has the worst update compare with LG, HTC and Motorola. That is because Samsung running a lot of features in touchwiz. When updating to next version they have to do a lot of hard work to be bug free before it's release to users. So if Samsung not updating your phone then just be patient......

AnonD-507364, 06 Jul 2016Samsung has the worst update compare with LG, HTC and Motorola. Samsung is the only one besides the Nexus devices to push monthly security updates to their phones unlike those that you have mentioned.

Android N is available for Nexus devices under their beta program. I currently have Android N running on Nexus 5x and Nexus 9

How could Samsung be working with Nougat code? Especially when it isn't even released yet. If they did have access to Android N, then this would be the first device with N. Google didn't even release a Nexus device with it. Yet Samsung's Note would hold the title for the first Android N device. If that is the case, then it would also be the first Daydream VR device.

I just don't see see Samsung coming out with a Nougat phone before the next Nexus phones.

I would rather they release a bugless Marshmallow than Nougat that's not ready for prime time.

Samsung should cut officially price Note 4/5 atm. Samsung should show potential customers that they care about them and e.g. Note 4 should get support even after Android 6 ;)
