I'm still surprised at how quickly my phone received the July security patch update, but to get it before Nexus devices is quite shocking; Why did you leave OPO Cyanogen Inc, you guys were perfect together, now OP users are stuck with that poisonous CO2 OS.

My OP3 has Oxygen OS 3.2.0 but is still on the June security patch

Anonymous, 07 Jul 2016But it has to beat the iPhone 5s update support if it wants... moretalk only about google devices, not other, since for other devices only other manufacturers can release updatr not google. Sony is not updating their devices, not gooogle. People learn this mistake.

To be honest, who knows? If all nexus phones were REALLY 100% made by google, maybe they could support all updates from google? But still, its a great goal for nexus 5 to get update, since android is just changing very fast with every update unlike some other OS

Anonymous, 06 Jul 2016Thankfully they continue to support the Nexus 5 (2013). The... moreBut it has to beat the iPhone 5s update support if it wants to be the king and that one will still get at least 2 1/4 years (until iOS 12 will be released) updates :) then there are also devices like Xperia E4 which never get an update

Thankfully they continue to support the Nexus 5 (2013). The free ride will probably come to an end soon enough, even to this day it is beyond what Google has committed to.
