What are you on guys? We're talking about 5x read speed and 2x write speed and you guys are bashing Samsung. You should be thankful and be excited by this insane improvement. Now you can load your apps in sd card and don't even care cause that read speed is as good as internal storage.
It's a huge improvement. It's different from whole 3.5 mm jack that is most likely being removed just for the thinness of phone. Yeah...yeah i know you can use external dac and amp but that would be also expensive to buy a good pair of earphones with high quality dac. Not to mention you won't able to enjoy music while charging, this is seriously fucking annoying.

AnonD-501550, 07 Jul 2016Are you f****** serious?!Of course I'm serious. Who would not want to have expandable cards who are as fast as internal storage?

Adoptable storage will totally benefit from this

Me, 07 Jul 2016What's the point of introducing a device with ufs slot when... morein time ... also Samsung can make their own devices only with UFS cards and lock users in to buy their UFS cards ... anyway it is nice achievement , kudos to Samsung for making it .

What about the file system? Will tehere be file size restrictions?

xTREAMER, 07 Jul 2016this remind me of Sony's Memory Stick Pro Cards (MS-Pro)...... moreThere don't seem to be many dslr or mirrorless interchangeable camera with built-in memory more then 64gb

A full frame camera photography can be big as 20 megabytes, so there is no reason why a camera have built in only memory

It's also noted that from the top 20 phone manufacturer, only 3 or 4 of them have no removable memory in their flagship model, so how is this so 2010 then, if the case that a 2 thirds have no removeable memory then maybe, but that's not the case

There are no UFC devices out there too so why are u worrying about that lol. So it's like saying why introduce wireless ad routers when there are no wireless ad devices.

this remind me of Sony's Memory Stick Pro Cards (MS-Pro)...at that time they trying to do something new but only theyr products use them...and look at them now?! NO NEW DEVICE SINCE 2006 use it! MS-Pro was a fail and i think this will be too...

Sammy trying to dominate the world with theyr fullshit...they dont remember all other brands are against her! ahahahah...so, sorry sammy, you are alone in this game!

                  - remember one day even microSD will be outdated since internal memory of everything is getting bigger and i belive someday we have phones and even professional cameras and so on with internal memory only and the memory cards will be out of game! THIS IS THE FUTURE...MEMORY CARDS IS SO 2010.

I wonder if Samsung had already fine the Note7 with an adaptor to taking in either a microSD or UFS. Again, removable expended memory is something i consider everytime I get a new device.

Hey, with 5 times more suited than the fastest microSD cards, UFS cards are definitely a good move. The Note.5 sure does look mightily limited without a memory expansion.

What is the point of making UFS cards if there is no device that can use UFS cards in it? Wouldn't it make more sense to introduce these cards together with a device that supports them?
