Samsung is reportedly working on a major update for the Gear S2

Linas, 11 Jul 2016I would be strange to read GSM arena article saying "apple ... moreIts not about samsung or apple. Its about the clients. I am an iphone user and can tell you apple watch is horrendous, therefore I am buying a Samsung gear s2, samsung gets their andriod costumers and also gets a good portion of apple costumers, thats why they should bother.

    I would be strange to read GSM arena article saying "apple watch might bring android support which is long overdue"... Similarly strange, while Samsung should bother supporting crapple on its superior smartwatch.

      Number 1 feature they need to add is NFC mobile payment with Samsung Pay. Number 2 feature is GPS SOS for emergency help.And like "Find My phone", a feature of "Find my Watch" would enable parent to locate their loved one. A "kill switch" can also deter theft.

Also with the android watch I would have a much wider app market. The samsung pay is the only reason I bought this watch.

            Dammit I really want to know more on the Gear S3. I personally use Samsung devices. I own the Gear 2 and skipped the S2 for some reasons, and I need the S3 as the Gear2 is pretty outdated now.

              I patiently await Samsung Pay functionality on the Gear S2 as well. If you look on the Samsung forums, you can see people making threats of suing Samsung for their lack of Pay on the S2 that is still being advertised as a feature.

              Pay compatibility on the S2 was pushed to 2016, and here we are in July and it still hasn't arrived.
