One of the most baffling design decisions for a smart... morei think they tood advantage of the similarities with the J3 (2016) and added the glowing just to see how fond the feature is in order to use it in the flagships (they probably foresaw that it might not be fonded so they tested)
i guess we'll have to see how well the J2 (2016) sells in order to determine if the glowing was a success or not

        Ray, 10 Jul 2016Yeah the notification light at the back is stupid. Sony... more...this is how Samsung define innovation. Selfie assist really? they should just improve the front camera instead of "introducing" that unuseful feature.

        Back 2014, Apple iPhone 6 was rumoured to have glowing Apple logo on its back incase you've notification. But the rumors turned fake, and most Sammy fans claimed it was gimmicky feature.
        Now Samsung did it. Again.

          Yeah the notification light at the back is stupid.

          Sony had it the bottom which was reasonable. Samsung designers are always nuts they never have new design and this just add to it.

                "Smart glow notifications"
                they took the Android notifications LED that's been there since... alpha?
                And placed it around the camera.
                that's it.
                Probably does look pretty cool and all at 1st but honestly a pretty bad place for a notifications LED. How many people place their phones screen facing down on a table, to be able to see it? And while it's on your hand you'll really not see it at all...
