RIP Symbian, I owned two Symbian devices and was some of the better options available; right now I'm using a Nokia N8 as backup device after my LG G3 died last week but the time has come.

Yep, Whatsapp is stopping support for all Symbian devices (S40, S60) as well as BlackBerry (all including BBOS 6, 7 and 10), Windows Mobile (7.1 and bellow) and very old versions of Android (2.2 and bellow) and iOS (6 and bellow) on the 31 December 2016. We've all been getting the message upon opening Whatsapp. You can visit Whatsapp's website for more information.

I also received same message from WhatsApp too. Am using BlackBerry Passport. As for me I still have option to port WhatsApp APK on my phone. It works perfectly.

AnonD-419706, 11 Jul 2016Noooooooo.... My backup device is an old but trusty N95. No... moreNexus 5 will have WhatsApp support for a very long time, I think at least the next 10 years. Even Nexus 4 has CM13 support (Android 6.0) and WhatsApp also supports older Android versions down to 2.3.4 Gingerbread

If you want to stop supporting it that's fine but at least let it run on the street owners on risk not just take it off like that.. What are doing
