Gonna get the LG one, will sell for about €250 and I will use a sim only (€5 month)-(€7 with unlimited internet).. And laugh at all the expensive phone users knowing how much their phone will cost them :P

Dear LG top managers, pls try to understand your customer needs as well as their taste first, few suggestions, your products except few are not at all good looking, all colours not available always, wrongly priced incomparison with your competitors e.g. Samsung, Nokia change your user interface firstly, products available in India are facing huge problems in terms of service issues, though your service is good comparisingly. Key to success in India should be, good looking, colourful, price competetive with best in features, also add some values in terms of some extra accessories, freebies.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 20102.2 on a 600Mhz Qualcomm benchmarks the same as a HTC Desir... moreEven 2.2 (from a custom ROM) on the archaic G1 runs extremely well, and the ports on the iPhone aren't bad at all.

[deleted post]Cool story, brah.
And contrary to your belief, LG is re-entering the smartphone scene with Android because it's the new phenomenon to ever hit the mobile world. Unlike Apple's iPhone though, Android does live up to the hype and delivers excellent performance at any price point. While the iPhone caters to the mid- to high-end markets, Android aims to deliver the experience on any tier of phone, from economical mobiles to top-shelf powerhouses.

2.2 on a 600Mhz Qualcomm benchmarks the same as a HTC Desire running 2.1.

Your getting the same performance at a fraction of the price with the latest froyo goodies, i say well done to LG for bringing one of the best valued android handsets to market, at least they didn't do a HTC and bring a 2.1 QVGA device to market.

I was expecting more from LG. LG said they were going to sell Optimus One to 120 countries (more than Samsung’s Galaxy S), so I was hoping that they will have at least similar specs, but apparently no.
Both of these devices are using “600MHz” processor. Given what’s available on the market, it is probably Qualcomm MSM7227, which is also used by HTC Legend and LG Optimus GT540. Although much better than yesterday’s 528MHz processors, those are slow by today’s standard:

(Look for results for HTC Legend/GT540)
Much less memory too. I think LG should try harder!

From the specs it's roughly being pitted against HTC's Legend and Wildfire? Is it just me or is there some sort of a "How to make a >slightly< better Android entry level smartphone with NO LED flash for dummies" rulebook going on there in South Korea?

LG, you are very confused about costumers needs. We need more, no less, you forget this basic rule in the sales arena, and... What are you offer us, what new are here? What better? New phones already old

[deleted post]It's also funny how Apple took the design of LG's first touchscreen phone, the LG Prada and copied it for their original iPhone.

LG please use better processors next time.If you want to re-enter the smartphone game, you must do it with a bang. Granted the first time smartphone users dont want to spend that much but they also do want a sluggish phone either i suggest using a 800 MHz or faster processor next time. I'm a huge LG buy but if it continues in this path I might not be for much longer.

Neostar, 14 Sep 2010Awesome :D Finally new mobile phones from LG that run An... moreIt is the same CPU that is implemented in LG GT 540 and it supports some 3D games like Raging Thunder 2 or HAWX. Despite the better CPU in i5800, Galaxy 3 does not support 3D games. The choice seems easy Optimus One ... I hope it won't be overpriced ;)
