They also released the z3+ at the same time as the s6 and it did worse. Looks like Sony is the one playing catch up.
Most blind tests put the s6 ahead of the z5, and the s7 is miles better even without considering the autofocus and low light capabilities.

SOuth korea didn't have shit 30 years ago. The japanese industry has always been ahead when it came into eletronics. Samsung is simply doing catch up with sony.

and for all the funny people out there who makes jokes of Sony and its camera - iPhone and Samsung phones' has Sony sensor - the sensor technology is so advanced, all the other mobile companies depend on Sony. This is why Sony is the first company to have 23 Megapixel camera.

Wha... moreYou clearly know nothing about cameras, especially when you think its shooting 23mp. It has a 23mp sensor, but when you take a picture it is only 8mp actually being taken, the rest is for oversampling. You could turn it to 23mp but obviously you wouldn't because it isn't optimised and it does poorly.
Just because you find it satisfactory it doesn't mean its relatively good. Most cameras are satisfactory. Z5 would only be better than the competition if they were actually better, but they aren't.
PS. Megapixels are in the millions, not thousands.

What only 8mp are you talking about? It takes up to 23mp photos, depending on the mp you set the device. At 8mp it oversamples the photo, it doesn't mean it only shot at 8mp.
8mp are 3200 pixels when 23mp photos are 5500+ pixels! Do your math Z5 and X really take 23mp photos, not 8.
As for the processing, I couldn't care less. It takes gorgeous photos and that's what I want, I don't care how it takes them. Z5 is among the best mobile shooters, deal with it.
People like you really need to check sony devices 1st before say bullshit.

Do something new Sony! Come on! There is nothing wrong with your phones. They just need to bring something innovative to shake Sony customers heart again. I was a Sony customer for the past 8 years. But after z5's monotony and simplicity, I moved to Lg g5 for the first time. And I don't regret it because there is nothing new about sony. I am really keen to return but until there are some differences.
