Doesn't matter what you charge it with - all that matters is what you can and cannot do with it, and how well it performs. Thus, Windows tablets are the only true tablets, iPads are simplified, basic devices, and Android tablets are just trying hard to catch up to iPads. (but never succeed in doing so due to the poor quality of the OS)

As a software engineer, i'm forced to use multiple OSs, and in my humble opinion, Windows for Mobile 10 is the worst. Yes, their desktop version is great, but mobile version is just as atrocious as it has ever been. Like Surface, where various programs keep on crashing for no reason. Surface Pro's are much better, but still flaky once in a while.
Nothing like that has ever happened on android tablets that I've used. It did happen on a few iPads, but also fairly rare.

Performance? Moving Surface Pro aside, as it is essentially a laptop and not a true tablet, in a sense where its not mobile enough and has to be charged by it's own power cable, rather than a USB cable. Regular Surface is a slow laggy mess.
Androids come in alot of options, and Samsung Note series tablets are very snappy. As for others, it depends on a brand and config, which in turn dictates the price.
iPads are generally good performers across the board, but are also sold at a premium.

That's the hierarchy based on the things you can do with your tablet, its performance, and the security and reliability that they offer. Android is just too clunky, disorganised, and unreliable - so it's an entry-level OS made for the masses. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. (that's what Android is all about)

But when it comes to Windows/iOS tablets, everything is much better. You can use full desktop apps on a Win tablets, and you have access to all the fun stuff with iPads. (without any hacks and roots)

What are you talking about? Windows has terrible mobile apps and iPads has *no* desktop apps, obviously the best compromise is android. 3 years on my note tablet, everything else is still much worse...

BTW finally 4GB oF Ram on a tablet, it was long overdue, and tablets actually need more Ram than phones (despite getting less)...

"High end" tablet? Running Android? Heh... Nice joke.

There are only two kinds of tablets that are actually useful: Windows tablets and iPads. Android tablets are just a joke compared to Win/iOS ones.

why_why, 13 Jul 20164:3 again... is there any 16:10 device in the future ?My thoughts too, tablets are for media consumption and 4:3 is just not as good, with annoying black bands on the top and bottom of the video player screen, and so much screen real-estate going to waste. I have a Mi Pad and Xiaomi was so obsessed with making an iPad Mini clone, that they put together a stunning display and stellar chip, but made it 7.9"/4:3. What a bummer.

asus zenfone 2 has a bendgate...the screen won't break but a thin line on the top stops working and starts giving ghost touches...check out asus forums...maybe they should up their price and add a little more rigidity to their shells...

However, when I looked into the GPU, this version of MTK is using the latest POWERVR.
But, we're not sure yet if it can compete with QSD820's GPU performance.
                              So, yeah... why Mediatek?

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2016I love Asus but WTH is with the MediaTek? really? damnAsus is a Taiwanese company and Mediatek also a Taiwanese company. It is only natural they collaborate in this type of partnership. Why resource expensive Snapdragon outside of Taiwan when they have the cheapest option in their own country? It also lower the manufacturing cost a lot.

Anonymous, 12 Jul 2016Is the SoC good compare to SD 820?It's similar to SD650, but with slightly higher clock speed. GPU wise, it's performance is close to Adreno 510 (according to GFXBench), so they are pretty much the same. But it's way behind SD820.
