The comments I have read about HTC phones require charging within 24 hrs or close to. Have not so far read any comments that later models battery life has improved. Would be more than interested in comments as as of this moment in time I hesitate from buying one for this reason. Many thanks

miguel82, 16 Sep 2010Sonyericsson and Nokia should learn with HTC how to release... moreMy friend, I don't think it's all about releasing phones every week. Read on realiability test and you will know that it can take up six months. Live reliable. It's not quantity but quality. I don't know about you?

From the specs the Desire Z has a slighty slower processor than the iPhone4 and everything else being very similar (bar the Z having a sexy keyboard). The Desire HD blows the iPhone4 completely out of the water, with it being of similar dimensions but has better use of the screen real estate. The Desire HD looks like its gonna give the Samsung Galaxy a run for its money too. Personally, i'd go for the Desire Z but i'll reserve my judgement until I see all the above phones in the flesh and read the all the reviews

Where are the mundane but feature-full HVGA and WHVGA devices that will drive the android app market forward ?
Sure is nice for the margin of the hardware industry to flood the stores with €500+ gadgets, but Nokia did not become Nokia by simply milking the high-end. I wish HTC would fill the gap between the wildfire and the Legend with some kind of european Aria. LG seems the only one at the plate ready to bat there in the coming months.

[deleted post]lol, yeah, because Symbian is the OS that everyone's fighting to have and it's totally overflowing with applications, revisions, and support in general. That's probably why Nokia is developing Meego and putting that on (what appears) to be the next gen of flagship phones.

Quite frankly, the last SE and Nokia handset's I've had both had enough software bugs in them (with less than stellar build quality) to really make me wonder if either of them is doing their due diligence in terms of testing too.
I'm keeping an eye on the N8, but won't buy another phone with Symbian... So unless the N9 is spectacular, I'll probably be buying the DesireHD. At least HTC hasn't let me down yet.

Guys also keep in mind that releasing something too soon is also not the best thing to do. I mean what happened to quality and testing the product well first!
I know Nokia and SE are being lazy and releasing things late, on the other hand htc are just releasing their phones very soon which honestly makes me worry! Are they doing enough testing or will we have some problems with the handsets, like what happened before with the nexus and the htc evo!

The 1st with something worthwhile i hope. I like the desire z, and looking at the specs, it says it's got a front facing camera, but i couldn't see it in the pics. I like the fact that htc have made the memory bigger than the original desire. But is the processor smaller than that of the original desire? Lastly, i think it's great having so many android handsets to choose from.
