For the first time I'm even more confused than usual with Xiaomi's complicated naming scheme, so the Mi Note 2 Pro is the successor to the Mi Note Pro, which is just a better version of the Mi Note 2?! WTF Xiaomi get your shit together!

m ok wid a 1080p amoled on 5.5" as long as its RGB matrix and not the oneplus' pathetic optic amoled type display.

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2016Specs, specs, specs. So many specs. So much RAM, such power... morei hav used mi4 for 11 months before buying galaxy note 4 and i must say all the android lag issues were totally absent on the xiaomi device while note 4 even after having a more powerful chipset is held down by this irritating touchwiz ui.
the only thing that samsung is best in is the camera and display, that too for the first 6 months, after upgrading it every few months it has become very laggy, a problem which i never faced in miui.
regarding your windows issue, xiaomi and microsoft made a deal earlier this year to develop widows os for xiaomi's flagship devices. (mi4 already has an official windows rom). just a matter of time before mi5 gets it.

battery is not a major drawback here because this will have lastest sd821 processor which eats very less battery while the redmi note 3 has sd650 which consumes more power. either way in terms of battery you will be shocked too see that mi 2 pro will perform better that note 3.

Strange that this leak for the Mi Note 2 Pro only has a Full HD display when the original Mi Note Pro had a 2k (QHD) display. Seems a little odd only to upgrade the processor and memory compared to the leaked Mi Note 2!!

Specs, specs, specs. So many specs. So much RAM, such powerful CPU. And it's a pity it's going to be bogged down (after a couple months of heavy usage) by Android.

Can't Xiaomi release their phones in Windows AND Android variants? Some people want their phones to be reliable, blazing fast, secure, and to have access to the most advanced user interface availabe; while some people don't care so much about these and just need lots of random apps.

I, for one, don't want to spend my money on something that force closes apps, needs restarts or factory resets every 6-8 months or so, nor do I want run into all sorts of bugs or navigate completely disorganised menus, submenus, subsubmenus, subsubsubsubmenus, etc.

That's why we need choices. And this would be a good Windows phone.

ssbatman21, 14 Jul 2016they would probably want to make a sleek device so battery ... morethinner phone is only reason i can think of for lower battery now, still seeing redmi note have 4000 and mi max near 5000mAh , make me wonder why still go with 3700 ... finger crossed for biger battery ....sam oled is the best still i cant complain since it will make the phone more expensive ...i know they cant make same quality cam with same s7 optics ...why use same optics then ! trying to compete with note7 too much ...3700mAh.oled.6gb ram.s7 optics ...i like the amoled part and for the cam i just hope its decent like last old lg or sam flag. weirdest part is 5.5 inch screen u can see it doesnt meet the standards for mi note 5.7 and galaxy note 7 which they try to copy so far so why deviate from that standard . btw im big xiaomi fan been waiting for mi5 and it had 5.1 inch ... too small for me so i though mi note 2 is my perfect pick . anyway try to follow source link above , it says different name with low chance its mi note2.

will be the best flashgrip killer of the year!

i am sure, if OP3 come with the same specs of this Mi Note 2 Pro and the same design as OP3 already have they can be the flashgrip killer...but, OP3 dont come with IR blaster (a useful feature for me, and thats why i dont leave LG).

Xiaomi is by far the best Chinese company with the most price vs quality you can buy at the moment!
