I really don't know about iphone battery life. In all the tests when a new one comes out they do quite well but of ALL my friends that have them real world battery performance is so poor its ridiculous. They all love their phones but complain about the battery life constantly.

I wanted the feel of the smoothness of an apple handset in Australia but not that price of 1400.
One morning I woke to see a HTC A9. Premium feel and just loving it. Absolutely beautiful and sings along very happily for half the price.

Oh c'mon. Its said that apple will have samsungs SuperAMOLED screens for the iphone 7 right? Well if so, apple would have to put more pixels because lcd and amoled at the same pixel resolution is not the same. That said, more pixels = more battery drain and with a small battery like this, the phone will literally last not even 3h. Apple has made a big big error

Not even 2,000 mAh? Seriously? Come on Apple, people require more and more battery life these days. What ever happened to listening to your customers?

Bigger means more power consumption & I guess there is no change now also as compare to other mobile generations.

Mirkran, 13 Jul 2016Battery capacity isn't everything. If you have a decent bat... moreThat's exactly why Apple does it. Aesthetics, and only aesthetics. They want their iPhones to maintain that "status symbol" quality to them, and what better way to do that than to make them as thin and "beautiful" as possible?

After all, that's all the rage in the smartphone arena anyway, according to OEMs.

Battery capacity isn't everything. If you have a decent battery size and you have power-efficient components, wouldn't be the same as to have a massive battery and power-hungry components? Of course, the ideal scenario is to have a big battery with power-efficient components, but, for some reason, Apple doesn't do that, at least with it's non Plus phones. Maybe it's a matter of aesthetics, to keep phones slim. Who knows?

Apple must be blind by the stacks of money they gained. Why not make the phone 1mm thicker and putt 2500mAh, dual speakers and for ffs put a FHD screen

Whatever. I am no apple hater at all but no principle hate vicious greed. No one wants a battery close to this size. Most people would scream if it was that small now days. But alas, they will charge a fortune, no one will complain of the robbery and the empire becomes the world's biggest. That's only because of the unbelievable scale of gouging. Fact. It's 1400.00 in Australia for base model. Yet population eagerly say yes. Please take my money dear robbers. Go figure.

AnonD-492870, 13 Jul 2016How is this 14% more if the iPhone 6 has an 1810 mAh? Yes ... moreIt's say 14% bigger than iPhone 6s, not iPhone 6. Since 6s has 1715 mAh, then it's an increase of 14.28%. Do the math and you'll see. Ah, and read carefully before posting. ;)
