Parliament do not elect the Government. The Government is formed by the party who won the election. In the situation of a hung parliament, as we saw following the 2010 General Election, Parties can discuss among themselves to form a Coalition, as happened between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats. The leader of the larger party will normally be the Prime Minister in this situation.
Under normal conditions, the party with the largest majority will form Government. The leader of the Party will become Prime Minister, and they will decide who they wish to hold the various positions within Government.

For example if Chinese currency getting stronger than USD, then we can see the price of smartphone (which is made in China) in US market will rise from $300 to $330.
as for poundsterling, its dropped because brexit impact, and it depends on how UK manage to solve this, I'm sure poundsterling will increase in near future sooner or later (maybe sooner than we thought)

I do understand the irony, so much criticism of the ways EU works and -- as it turns out -- it works just like your own democracy.

They have to also be a sitting MP to be able to take the office of Prime Minister. So we knew when the Conservatives were elected that David Cameron would be Prime Minister. It is only when a leadership change comes around mid-term that the general populous has no real control over who will be Prime Minister. In the case of the current leadership change, David Cameron announced his resignation and Conservative MPs voted on who they wanted to replace him as leader, initially from the five people who put themselves forward. This was then narrowed down to three, after which Michael Gove lost out and the remaining two runners, Theresa May and Andrea Leadsom, would have faced an election of the Conservative Party membership. However, Leadsom pulled out of the running which effectively gifted the leadership to Theresa May, who automatically became leader of the Conservative Party. After David Cameron's formal resignation, May was then invited by the Queen to form a Government and take the post of Prime Minister.

All that's happened is trade links have been put at risk and in the best case scenario, we would magically retain everything eventually, but nothing would be better from an economic perspective. The worst case scenario is Britain's position as a global financial hub and a centre of commerce for the whole of Europe is damaged in the long run.
I'm not seeing any potential for anything to be better from an economic perspective. That's why the leave campaign didn't present anything and instead focussed on 'controlling immigration' and some silly lie about £250 million. In the end the leave campaigners have now said they may not do anything about immigration, and said the £250 million was a 'mistake'. Never mind prolonging austerity to the medium-term and increasing the deficit just as we started to recover.

I don't see how you're making the point about the EU by saying we don't elect our own government.

It is no real democracy when you do not even know who you are voting for as the candidate for Prime minister, democracy and politics is totally based on individuals, not just the "red" or "blue" party! Communist Sovjetunion was just as "democratic" when the party elite elected who would would the party/country leader! Chosing party leader is one thing, but every change of Prime minister must only happen after a general election, so UK is NOT a real democracy!

Dem... moreFunny, I could have sworn that (like most other democracies), you elect the Parliament -- which in turn will vote to accept the new Government (which will be dictated by whoever won the election because they'll have majority in Parliament).
So, to answer your question, the current PM was elected by the same guys who elected the previous one.

Brexit was totally based on lies and racism!
UK is not a member in Schengen, so they already have total control over their borders against islamic... refugees, from Syria and Irak and Pakistan and...!
If UK want access to the single free EU market then they still, even after Brexit, will have to allow every EU citizien, including everyone from Poland, to enter and live/work... in UK!
Every new law in EU have to be ratified in EVERY EU member state, so UK actually already have total control over every law suggested from EU! EU is not like USA where the President can force new laws on every state against their will! In EU every new law have to be agreed on in total unanimity among all member states, including UK!
Brexit was totally stupid, and shows that democracy today have big problems when it is possible to win elections using arguments entirely based on lies and racism!
everything will now be a lot more expensive in UK!
