Android Pay launches in Australia

After initially launching Android Pay in the US last May, Google finally rolled out the mobile payment service in Australia for the first time. Android Pay is officially accepted in the following stores with McDonalds “coming soon”. Weird, as I remember McDonald’s to be among the first adopters of NFC payments in the US.

    Apple Pay charges the commission.
    I suspect the issue with the big banks is that they have their own nfc payment apps *have for a long time) and invested a lot of money into did systems. A tad hard to justify the walk away from that I assume.

      I guess that's too much for a device manufacturer...
