Guys, I've upgraded my Milestone XT720 from Eclair 2.1 to 2.2.1 using Dexter's Rom. And I've even overclock my processor to 1000MHz. My toy is now running fast and very stable. If you guys wish to do the same, just reply and I will direct you to the website where I got all the info.

checking the morotola updates page, they advise it will stay on android 2.1 end of, so i'm afraid nothing like this will happen

This information was a BULLSHIT! It's confirmed by the Hungarian Motorola HQ. There's no software upgrade for 720Mhz CPU clock. And never will come.

Does any1 no when Android 2.2 comes out 4 it as well? I'v run out of memory 4 saving apps to & cant save them 2 my micro sd card without Android 2.2....

Both phones are on the official Moto web site and the different was clear. The firmware just fix the matter of clock speed from 550Mhz to 720Mhz which is the real speed. But it was clear for example Motoroi have TV build in while XT720 doesn't have.
What is your real point about not been answered by Moto CEO?

This problem has been dragged for 2 months (look at my email sent on 20/Jul/2010)
Now, it has been finalised. XT720 comes with 256MB RAM & now with CPU clock speed of 720Mhz
Anyway i will not support Motorola, the reason is that i have email my enquiries to Motorola, but in the end, there was NO RESPOND at all, via email

Surely nobody beats Apple in the areas above.
I don't hate Apple, as my wife uses TWO! (3G & 4) But if its fans keep going around and show little respect to others, then I'd jump in.
BTW, my wife seldom, if ever, uses her phone for games. Yet she "always" borrow my Milestone for games.
