If you haven't heard of Pokemon Go yet, then you probably don't go online or outside, or just happen to live under a particularly secluded rock that at this point, we frankly wouldn't mind crawling under as well.

Fundamental? Nothing relating to the core mechanics are likely to change, and that's why it will die. In a year's time, the remaining players will be defensive about the fact they play the game while being embarrassed about it, a bit like you are now. Its just a social trend, with the core mechanics not being able to create a sustainable and engaging game.

          Updates are the reason that keeps games and developers going, they read peoples feedback then fix it in the next update. What do you think will happen to popular games like league of legends, Dota and WoW without updates? I think what you're trying to say is that, Pokemon Go is not up to YOUR expectations thats why you think it will fail quickly.

              Why all this debate? This app is just a mean, and means aren't good or bad on itselves. It's the way you use it that makes it good or bad. And children aren't guilty of having careless parents who let them use phones or tablets without any kind of accountability.

It relies too much on the fact the gameplay is novel and it relies too much on the pokemon brand. As soon as people start leaving, other people will also leave because the gameplay itself isn't compelling enough. It doesn't matter if they monotonously add more pokemon, or a few new features.

                There is also rampant cheating, almost all the gyms have been taken over by people who chest their location and the most they do is give an hour ban

Kids are stupid so its the parents job to stop them. Should we ban knifes to, because innocent children might kill themselves with it?

                            I see people walk the streets watching video's and playing candy crush, and that's more distracting than looking to find an actual landmark or looking through a camera to catch a pokemon.

                            I would like to see some stats on whether actual mobile related incidents have increased dramatically.

They players are asked to keep out of the area. And these stupid player keep calling 911 asking about pokemon. Like I said, this game should be banned. People out there doing the craziest stuff. What if pokemon go said you need to go into a volcano, you still go? Oh, yeah that will eventually happen soon. They already went lost inside a cave before. What else these players would do next to give trouble to other people?

                                And that's why we cannot have nice things, people like you just complain that the game is unsafe, that it harms people, that is boring, if you think is unsafe then don't play it, if it harms your children then don't let them play it, if its boring for you then just don't play it. just shut up and let everyone else who wants to enjoy the game ENJOY IT let them be, and you go play some angry birds or whatever any of your boring *sses thinks is safe and fun! :D
