Yes android as many applications which can run like in a desktop, better than Windows Phone. Android phones of the principals oems or companies have frequently and constantly updates. If it is one Nexus phone has the updates as soon as they are released.

The big question. Is there a single US phone carrier which will support and provide service to the phone? I bet none. It doesn't matter if the phone is unlocked. Still not a single US phone carrier will provide phone service to it. So what is the point of spending lots of money and have a device which does not do what it's design to do. Get your blooming carriers inline before asking people to spend over $600 on a stupid phone.

To those complaining about the price tag, I implore you to remember that $649 is for the phone, + KEYBOARD, MOUSE, AND DISPLAY DOCK for continuum. For other W10M phones like the 950, all continuum-related accessories are sold separate.

In that price 650$ if I add 80$ more I can buy two device one LG G4 & Motorola z style in my country
I always asking my self why windows phone price so much expensive !? When OnePlus & Xiaomi can do 400$ why Acer or Microsoft can't do ?

Can android connect to desktop dock as well as a mouse and a keyboard? no. Can android phones sync with PC? no. Do android phones have desktop like experience running apps. no. How long it take for android phone to get latest update? forever.
most people buy android to enjoy small screen gaming, play with apps. windows phone are made for people to do things, not play with.

Yay android is good only playing touchscreen games and mobile apps. As an android user before. Android cannot match the desktop experience. Actually its been a long time android is the same, lacks innovation anymore. At least windows mobile innovates its self through continuum. The ability to offer desktop experience with the use of mouse, keyboard, monitor etc. Apps that support continuum looks like desktop windows 10. Android on desktop not good. Its not optimised for it.

In android there is so much competition that they have to distinguish themselves with really low prices. Only the top guys can get away with selling high priced phones. And that's because they have created the market share already. And part of this new market share is also creating an initial market share of followers. And high priced phones drive more app revenue as people are more invested. It's all complex stuff. But Apple gets more revenue from apps than Android and android has way more market share.

Remember this, Android is the mobile system that dominates in all world and Windows Phone is a failed and finished system. Microsof wanted so much to get Nokia for cause of Windows phone and annihilate a competitor that the all people, the consumers repudiated and despised in certain way, Microsoft and their Windows Phone with the course of the time.

Greedy pricing. Probably an "ok" phone but when you're pricing it with the iPhones and Flagship droids then you fail.
You can get the 950 whose specs nearly mirror that of this phone for £299 unlocked here in the UK and those are selling like hot cakes.... Not. (yes I did)..

My gosh. Just get a proper pc and not this one that even fails at pretending to be. You can get a really decent laptop for 600 dollars now and you will be able to do some more productive stuff with it instead of taking selfies!
