I hope they drop the camera to 13/16MP but with the same sensor size... resulting more micron-pixel.
Add OIS to it, coupled with Sony's software.
Best mobile camera experience... at least in my imagination :P
Side-mounted fingerprint scanner is the most comfortable placing indeed, but the resulting bulkier side bezel is big no no. Flagship is supposed to be beautiful. Well, beauty is self-preference but I'm quite sure that most everyone would agree slimmer side bezel is beautiful.
Last year flagship managed to get 7.3mm thickness with 29xx mAh battery. This year flagship got 8.7mm thickness with 27xx mAh battery. This department surely is not an improvement. Yeah sure, due to the new camera sensor... but isn't there any workaround really?
I would definitely buy this thing if it has:
- Camera that I described above
- XA level side bezel (don't care with top and bottom)
- 7mm or below thickness
- 3xxx mAh battery
- FHD 5.2" IPS-NEO screen
For the time being, I'm happy with my Z3

RIP Sony, kill the X range and bring back the Z6 and Z6 Compact. Sony once had the lead above Samsung with the original Z. Seems those days are long gone. Expensive underpowered phones now rule the portfolio. What the hell happened to Sony. They should fire whoever is making the current decisions

AnonD-503930, 24 Jul 2016still has its classic app launcher and skin.. it need to be... more@ Leo . there is nothing wrong with the current Xperia theme. It's just a matter of taste. I personally consider it one of the best looking ones around. I can't stand the design on HTC , Samsung and other smartphones. So which ones do you guys believe looks good? I found the LG one looking quite good but can't say that about pretty much anyone else.

Still Sony maintains the shape of their phone almost sharp cornered rectangular block. Changes in the X from Z models were too subtle and continuously disappoints anybody else. Sony failed always as they ignore blogs criticizing their products.. Very simple... Why Iphone almost dominated in the industry, it is bcoz of the shape. Although the internals Sony mostly dominates but prospective buyers do not see much on internals but rather the externals (beauty). If Sony follow the footprints of the Iphone then make variations out of it then coupled by their innovative (one step ahead of the others) internals then I supposed Sony will dominate in the industry rather than struggling everytime. Just remember box type gadgets are mostly ignored during these times.... One more thing, accessories made by Sony exclussively for their phones are very hard to find in the market.

I catching a ghostwriter, the IP is tx40. Looks like the competitors couldn't giving reasonable/good comments to Sony, that's for sure, they praise Samsung the best and bash Sony is bad.
