Samsung Wave scores the first million of units sold in Europe

22 September, 2010
Samsung Wave is the first smartphone running Samsung's own Bada OS. It's also got some nice specs and excellent ergonomics. Obviously, the phone (and platform) is off to a good start with over one million...

Toorop, 22 Sep 2010My iPhone 4 has far superior resolutio thanx to PenTile mat... moreSomemore higher resolution(is good but over is just too much) will also burdening the CPU and GPU of the phone.

Nick, 23 Sep 2010Its a horrible fone dont buy evn for free the battery sucks... moreAre you sure you were even using Samsung Wave? It doesn't seem like we are using the same device... touch is very responsive and can type nearly as fast as i can on a QWERTZ keyboard on PC. And that's not even in landscape mode with larger buttons.
And even though they were scaring me of battery holding for just for 2 days, but it turned out it can hold for 7 days of my usage. Which is not intense but i work with it here and there. With some more intense usage it holds for 2-3 days.
So the battery is clearly not bad.

Best device you can have, best screen, quality, design, camera, I only wish the screen was 3.7 inches. but perfect otherwise.

This phone is great no doubt about it. I live in Pakistan and here it has not been released yet so i asked my uncle to buy it and send it to me from Singapore. I have been using it since 4 months and never get bored. Super AMOLED screen and touch is superb. Also the social Hub is very awsome. Its 5MP Camera is better than the Nokia N8 8MP. Not to mention that it is immensely fast as well. There are few bugs in OS but that will be resolved i am sure as the BADA will get mature. Google is not supporting BADA because they are threatened that their android will lose the race which is slightly unfair. Anyway i would love to see Google Maps and few more languages support like Arabic on this phone. The rest is all fine for me up till now.

i had a go on my friend's WAVE and i have to say that BADA is ZIPPY!!! very fast, i was impressed! seemed to me to be faster even than the i9000 running android, but i didn't really do anything too taxing with it. the camera function seemed a little more ergonomic and quicker to operate. i only played with it for about 3 or 4 minutes though.

samsung mention working on so many phones but they never mention anything about releasing a firmware upgrade for the bada os. This is getting on my nerves.
