It is a completely different technology. Internal memory, to put it in a very simple way, will be handled by a far smarter controller, with superior garbage collection, TRIM, etc. That means it will last so much longer without any slowdowns.

I need at least 128gb of internal storage. Preferably 256gb. Preferably 6gb of ram too. My note 7 will be for rigorous use. Fingers crossed.

But legit reports only say it is better than existing SD cards. So far, I haven't read report that UFC has been tested to compete with on-board memory. I don't think it can, but who knows. Any improvement in hardware and algorithm which Samsung can apply to SD card (UFC), they can always apply to on-board flash and being on-board has advantages. Unless, maybe, we can have SD cards with as many connectors as on-board flash (like they do with computer CPUs). :-)

This phone is guaranteed to be the best phone of the year. The Note series can only mean power, that means the latest CPU-GPU, best huge display, huge memory and the best and latest software features especially for productivity (split screen multiwindow etc). 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal as base is almost a cenrainty.

Samsung is alway taking notes frpm LG..You will never be able to touch the v10 base storage with all that bloatware.. Probably 45GB will be free..HAAA
