LG are going to realse a higher spec model later in the year. I would probably wait for that if i was going to buy one. Also like somebody has already mentioned.. in korea the new 'chocolate' phone is the KV6000. It also has a touch pad and looks nice.

This is for the people who have asked some questions about the phone. I've got one so will try and help out as best as I can..
1) You don't have to open the phone to enable the touch pad and screen. Just press the volume key when closed and you will activate the phone.
2) Carphone Warehouse sell it for various networks (O2, Orange etc) as well as SIM free and O2 also sell this. Haven't seen it on other networks but would be surprised if they didn't get them at some point as you can already via Carphone Warehouse.
3)I don't know if the touch pad works with gloves but i guess it would depend entirely on how thick the gloves are!
4) European version is lower spec? Yeah its got less memory BUT it is thinner. Also the camera is now on the inside of the slider and not on the outside like the Korean version. At the end of the day this is just a stunning phone and if you want to listen to a shed load of music then get an Ipod. There's no phone out there that comes close to this. Yeah the Samsung E900 is coming out and that has a touch pad but look at it and then look at this, i'm sorry but the LG wins hands down every time!

CDMA ver. of Chocolate doesn't have memory card slot, either. It has a large internal memory (512MB) though.

This fone is sooooo cool, better than the LG U series and C series! I now own this, N70 (had it from Jan 06) and the N91!

I have just purchased the LG Chocolate, it so sexy, words can not describe this phone. The touch screen is very strange at first but this is the feature that makes it ultra sexy inevitably, I have come into work and how everyone in the office is trying to buy one. I got a great deal I with One Stop Phone Shop on T-Mobile 5 months free line rental with 500 mins and 500 txt flex35, a cheap deal and a top class phone total BARGIN - this is going to be the phone of the year - however I cant work out why its called the chocolate as its black and not brown, but still 10/10 all round for this bad boy

Gargoyle: do you mean you don't want to take your gloves off when you are being called? Why is that?

It is available on the UK network O2. And if the touch buttons are similar to the Apple iPod touch wheel then you will need to take ur gloves off to use the buttons.

Visually stunning phone.I do however have to agree that I am too disapointed that they have sent a lower-spec handset to europe. Shame on LG!
