This is Honor V8 Max rumor not long ago.
The pricing should start at 1999 yuan ($300) for 3GB model, while the 4GB memory version should retail around 2299 yuan ($344). Will be available in August 2016.

It will be interesting to see a review, especially on battery, when the time comes.
This has a somewhat larger display as well as higher resolution, but a smaller battery than Xiaomi Mi Max. I don't think it will perform as good in that area, but maybe their Kirin will do a good job in that department. Let's hope so.

Even the old Sony Xperia Z Ultra is probably bigger than this from edge to edge due to it's thick bezels vs. this one which is pretty much bezel free.
Not sure what the chinese marketing stuff says, but this might have a similar footprint as the Xiaomi Mi Max, and a bigger screen as well.
Too late for me, I've already purchased one of the 1.5 million Xiaomi Mi Maxes that has been shipped the past two months. So clearly I'm not alone in prefering this phone size.
Not everyone is content with 4.0-5.5" phones. Even a two year old girl was able to hold my current Z Ultra from edge to edge with one hand. . . Just barely, but stil. And using the other to navigate flawlessly.
