AadiRizvi, 27 Jul 2016Well i just read news today that Apple's last quarter could... moreThose two are the titans of the smartphone industry, they can afford to come up short once in a while, their software is vastly superior and can't be compared to a Chinese companies no matter how much specs they stuff into their phones, which are restricted to China and its neighboring countries. They have longevity too bc of their well-funded R&D departments. Most people can't even name a Chinese phone company other than maybe Huawei cause of the 6P. As for Bony they're a goner, their Xperia X series sales will prove that soon, it's just a matter of time now.

AnonD-463876, 26 Jul 2016Yeah but Apple steals most of the the revenue and Samsung s... moreWell i just read news today that Apple's last quarter couldnt go well and the sales went down, same happened with Samsung in their last quarter's earning. All this is happening due to new entrants specially companies like Xiaomi who have got competitive edge in pricing and people (mostly) want phones with great specs with less price. Many of them dont care about durability, so yeah, the going down process is for Apple & Samsung too in the long run if they cannot adjust to the changing strategies. As far as Sony is concerned, they sell around 3-4 million devices per quarter which gets them the money for R&D and manufacturing purpose, i am not being a fanboy here but if they keep on selling this much devices, the chances of their deal of mobile division is still in doubt because it has been their practice in past to dump their money to mobile division from their pockets of gaming and imaging business when needed.

I was exaggerating about the bankruptcy part but they will sell off their mobile division to the highest bidder. Sony phones are dull, lack innovation, and are overpriced for nothing, they all look like big-ass Tic Tacs or Chiclets, the only thing that set them apart from the rest before was water resistance lol

Yes, they earn more profit than Samsung when they sell one unit. Actually, one unit sold give them money almost equaling the money Samsung gets by selling its two flagship units. So, money is not a problem for Sony even if they sell only a handful of phones in an year, they can still maintain their breakeven plus the Gaming & Movie business is earning so well that it wont bankrupt the company not in the coming 50 years or so i guess.
The companies who would bankrupt before Sony would be htc and LG mobile because they are the ones who made loss last quarter while Sony declared profit last quarter.

Check the 3gigs vs. 3gigs comparison of S6 vs. Z5 which blows the S6 out of the competition. If Sony gave the X an extra gig, im pretty sure its response would be by far the best of all including the iPhones in comparison but seriously, i think it still doesnt need an extra gig because their phones never lag for real. You'll know if you'd use one for yourself.

Because they have its own OS unlike Samsung is still Under Google's Android Platform.. The Real success is to Be independent and not acquiring anyone property(OS) even if it is free

If it is the all group perhaps Samsung reaches the 3 first places. Samsung Electronics even in 11th place is a successful companie. You don't see there Foxconn or Sony in the first places.
