Google Nexus and Samsung.. No mention of Motorola, LG, Sony, Huawei or any of the multitudinous number of lower output manufacturers.
    The fact that a considerable number of people now have large quantities of private information stored on devices (financial details, Banking, PayPal, etc.), Means it's very important to be secure. Now, more than ever before.

        Once Motorola was most trusted brand but with acquisition from Lenovo, it's no longer the case.
        It is losing market share like crazy.
        Last successful mid range phone from Moto was Moto G 3rd Generation, but with overheating issue with Moto G plus, it has Moto in the reverse track.

        People used to buy Moto phones because it used to be next to Nexus phones to get updates.
        And if they stop giving monthly updates to all Moto phones, time is not that far we will Moto as History.

            IMPORTANT:
            The statement does not ever confirm MONTHLY updates: it leaves a lot of wiggle room for Moto. Technically the X Pure is being supported by security updates, just not on a monthly basis, which according to the statement is totally fine.

              A confirmation means little when it comes to Moto. The last time they promised something like this, the Moto E and Moto G in certain countries were denied Marshmallow.

              I wouldn't hold my breath on this.

                It's mean Motorola has forgotten it's 2015 flagship device MotoXStyle. Not good for Motorola
