Love the new design. Only the bezels should be smaller and I'm buying it. Those who don't like it can stay with their iPhone or Samsung, simple as that.

Sony-hopeless company.
Making camera sensors for ~6 years already and still, best photo making old Xperia S.
DSEE,HI(well,hello)-Res,192,24...and very weak amplifier, it cant even sound good with my EX650.
2700 battery-7 hours of internet.When SGS7 has ~11.
S820 - and as fast as my kettle.
And 700$ for all that. Good luck selling your next smartphones.

Also based on my wife's M4 Aqua, I will never ever buy another Sony-phone - such a low-quality phone with the same ugly Sony-design and sub-par OS-updates, didn't even get the Marshmallow's adoptable storage-feature. They would've kept one user if they brought the feature for this phone, but looks like they lose yet another one. :)

Absolutely the ugliest phone released in the last 10 years! For me, this square-edged design has never looked good and this is just another ugly phone. No thanks.

On the looks:
Its beautiful, refreshing design...
Its like a Nokia phone, but with brushed metal back, no camera bump, front 2.5d screen, and front stereo speakers.
Flat top/low edges actually give ability(stability) to shoot pictures with that timer, and with oneself included on proper occassions. I always hated that all rounded edges on phones of late....taking a family pic was a real nuisance. With this design, no prob. :-)

Love this design, I hope it's battery will no less than 3500mAh.
The poor battery performance of xa ultra and xp stops me to reach
a new sony phone though their features are very attract me. I would like it
be thicker rather than bring a battery pack everyday. Hate always charging!

Keeping the 3.5mm headphone jack while giving also ability to listen music via microUSB is...
ONE MORE REASON to stay with Sony.
As stated by a real audiophile on the matter:
"Both types of usb and lightning (and optical and coaxial for that matter), in short, all types of digital outputs can send audio at up to 32 bit/96k sampling frequency. And that all depends on the software that controls it. Audio goes out through digital connections as data (1s and 0s) as opposed to soundwaves (like through a headphone jack for example). So if you take an external dac (which basically is the audio chip that converts digital info to analog soundwaves which can be heard by our ears) and connect it to a very very old cheap digital audiobplayer (say a very old sony walkman or apple ipod) there will be absolutely no sound quality difference since all the audio processing ia handled by the dac (be ot a standalone unit such as the fiio e17k, or some headphones with an integrated dac that connect to any device via microusb/lightning). Coincidentally, iphone 6s for some reason doesn't output 24 bit audio signal data natively through lightning (probably an ios software limitation) but only up to 16 bit (below high res, basically cd quality - normal flac/alac). If you load a 24 bit file it will artificially upscale it ( which isn't the best quality). Phones like the Sony Xperia z5 however (and some other android phones as well) can send 24 bit files natively with no conversion through their digital connection (microusb). So no, lightning isn't better than micro usb. Actually due to a (probably) software cap by apple, it's worse as far as digital signal goes than many other phones that use a different kind of digital connexion. The specific type of digital connexion is somewhat irrelevant. Most high end devices actually use a coaxial digital connexion for it's low digital noise. Don't talk out of your arse, son. Learn about audio first."
