LeEco buys Vizio for $2 billion

26 July, 2016
Proving once again how serious it is about making it big in the US market, Chinese tech company LeEco has announced that it is acquiring Vizio, the American TV maker. The deal is worth around $2 billion, and insures an instant foothold for LeEco into the US TV market, what with Vizio being a key player there.

Vizio was good TV, but I stayed with the SONY branded TV, the best quality. I had one that lasted more than thirty years already, and it is still working!

This is sad News since US cos are giving in to buyouts, I will reconsider buying a Vizio TV in future, and buy... Sharp or Sony 4k TVs.

LeEco is not just cellphone maker and TV maker. The company was founded in 2004 in China. And actually they already have office in San Jose (Silicon Valley) California, USA.

i'm a Letv 1S user. So far i'm satisfied with the product. Impressive craftsmanship for a really great price. With the kind of high quality they impose on their products, and competetive pricing, i'm certain Le Eco will have a bright future.

I didn't know how big LeEco were until they flew me down to New Delhi to attended & cover their launch event for the Le 2 & Le Max 2 last month.
This is a video they played there which gives u an idea of who & what they are: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohAEEbqklu4
